Ordered on 2/7/05 from dealer near York, PA. ERL says as of 4/21, I'm serialized. It's nice NOT to hear that I'm "clean and unscheduled". Hopefully, for those of you who ordered earlier than I did, you'll also get "good news"

Well, this appears to be a good day for some of us . . .

this morning that I've been waiting for since January 2nd (110 days)!!!!

Congrats to all who got serialized or more this week.
for the rest of us we should start a support group hahahaha

I feel for all those who have been waiting.
I have a whopping total of 23 days waiting i could'nt imagine waiting since Jan or earlier.
I have contacted my Dealer and will put another order in for an 06 incase my 05 isnt built. this way i can get in line early. and take the one that moves the fastest.
Maybe it would be smart to wait for an 06. it wont be a year old the day you get it if you wait till Aug. to get it.

The ERL has been stuck on, as of 4/14 your unit has a build date of 5/2. Once you get a build date does ERL say the same thing until it gets built ?

You should be happy on your shipping status. I was scheduled for a build week of 4 April, but all my stupid dealer can tell me is the car is built and at the ramp awaiting rail car. As far as ETA, all he could say was "by then end of this month". What a bunch of BS. Only 8 days left, and if its not even made it to a rail car yet, I'm not holding my breath that it will arrive before the first week in May. His "cpnsoling" comment was "Look at it this way....at least its built and you don't have to pay the $3000 mark-up we are getting for these cars. I was lucky enough to have them order it at full MSRP.

Could not get through to ERL earlier today as apparently I can no longer say T_8_2 correctly. :bang:
Called my dealer just to see if he had anything new to say and got a strange story about how Ford is "only building V6's right now" and would switch to GT again pretty soon. Based on the commodities reports that we've seen on here and people getting their cars scheduled and built, I have to assume it is just some story to keep me calm and patient. :scratch:
Guess in a few weeks I'll have to make the decision about dropping the '05 order and putting in an '06.

Still C/U. But today I visited my dealer and my salesman told me my order got bumped and they got two convertibles instead of my order from 2/16/05. The convertibles are not even orders, they are sitting on the lot. So it appears the dealer bumped my order so they could get two convertibles. I was then told that my 2/16/05 order will probably get turned into an 06 order. THIS STINKS!

I checked with Miss Personality today and found out that "as of April 21, you car has been produced"
It seems there are differences in people's experiences with the automated order service. I went from C/U to scheduled to be built to produced. I was never told I was serialized or locked in for production.

I hope it continues to work the way it is suppossed to. So far the timeline has been just like my salesman told me (3-4 months from order). He has not informed me of my current status though (surprise!). If my build week is 5/16 I should have it right in the middle of his estimate.
