iPhone 3GS holder on mustangs

hi guys

i've been hunting for a iphone holder/mount for my mustang, the typical vent mounts are not for round vents, and proclip has expensive ones and i quite frankly like the center mount between the air vents, but im afraid that will attract attention right there in the center as my console is silver, im looking to save some space in my cupholders so i want a mount. i dont like the idea of gluing anything on the sides of the stereo or windsheild mounting either, what can you suggest? i know the options are limited but any help would be great..

thanks

I'd spring for the proclip. They're not cheap but you're not going to find a better mount.

You could always paint the proclip mount silver if you think it would blend in more.

I leave my Blackberry in my front most cupholder in its case. It serves its purpose. Theres also that thing that Billy Mays plugged before he passed that I saw on Pitchmen.

thanks for the replies guys, i found this one to be least attention grabbing from proclip and it seems to be the best one out there like you said ov3n, when scanned inside the console from the outside, it blends in too, they say on their site that it snaps into place, have you guys heard anything about this one whether good or bad?

I went with the Belkin TuneBase FM for iPhone and iPod

Easily removed from the power port in the center when you aren't using it, not hideous looking, the mout actually blends with the silver/black setup of the console, puts the screen where it can be viewed without looking away from the road, and charges the phone.

It ends up putting the iPhone between the two vents.

And to be honest, no matter where you put it, it's going to attract attention, especially with the iPhone attached... i mean, it's a multi-colored display in a monochrome surrounding

Because of the shape of the indentation in the pro clip mount for the phone to slide into, it isn't possible for it to slide out the bottom.

Okay, well you go buy a $10 flimsy, generic plastic POS and tell us how awesome it is. :-P

So long as you stay off the Edge network and on the 3G one, I think you'll be happy. I know I have been.

20-30 would be more reasonable to me, I also want to outfit my Legacy.. that puts it to like $85 just for mounting (sharing the phone cradle piece between the cars)... soon I'll have spent more in accessories than on the phone itself

This is the one that I went with on my stang. I switch between my blackberry bold and my iPhone so an adjustable one is best for my purposes. And its covered in felt so it gives my devices a warm fuzzy feeling. I will post a pic when its not so cold outside. Here is the link of the one I got for now so that you can see which model it is.
