Interior Upgrade Pck. on hold
#1
Mustang-Interior Upgrade Package-Due to a new reduction in component availability for Interior Upgrade Package (18G), it will be necessary to shut off scheduling any Mustangs with the 18G for Week 40 ( this week). If you have allocation for any Mustangs this week please make sure your orders do not have this package. GT scheduling remains at 50%.

Just received this notice from Ford. If your dealer was planning on having your car pulled for production this week, and you ordered IUP, your car will not be scheduled and it is delayed.
I only post this to keep all informed, and so that you hopefully understand if your dealer informs you that your car is delayed.
Please don't shoot the messenger.

Thanks for the update. My car was to be built today. Oh well, the saga continues.

Shouldn't effect you. If you are already scheduled, they've accounted for your IUP.

There were some rumblings about this lately,
Is it possible that there is better than expected demand for IUP?
perhaps supplier is slow getting up to speed?

I'm scheduled for 10/18, so are you saying that this would not affect me?

I think I mentioned this in a thread I started yesterday. I found out the "Texas Connection" facilitates cars for my dealer in a manner that seems to be more efficient. The "connection" seems to pretty up-to-speed with what's going on.

You did post this yesterday, and thanks. However, I still doubt the Texas thing is true.

The cars are manipulated in regards to stock orders that can be changed to "retail" and allocations that can be "adjusted". Anywho, I don't have much of a choice. With this thread, I feel even better about the info. that was conveyed onto me yesterday.
Thanks,
Jim

Mine was ordered Sep. 30 with an IUP, and they gave me a build week of Nov 1st. Will that be bumped?

I still don't think thats true ... what would be the point? It took my dealership maybe 3 minutes to enter my order ...
