I have read the descriptions, but does anyone have pictures showing the differences between 05's with and without the IUP?

(sorry if this has already been asked)

 

No pics, but I think this is fairly simple.

1up gets the following additions:
Aluminum trim on dash face
chrome trimmed a/c bezels
oil pressure gauge
alternator volt gauge
128 color selection, compared to 6 colors
140mph speedo, compared to 120mph (I think)

 

There are pictures of each somewhere.... I'll see if I can find them.

this thread has one pic of a Mustang without the IUP. It's the third post, by travste.

I think all the other pics on that thread are of the IUP. Hope this helps.

 

Once you see the pics, you'd be crazy NOT to get the upgrade package -- it totally completes the interior of the Mustang. You NEED it. wn3d:

 

Hmm, I'm confused. Some leather interiors, the middle sections have perforated holes while other leather interiors for the '05 look 'smooth'... are there two types of materials? If so, which cars get which?

Not into B&D, but I love leather!

 

The V6 leather has the smooth and very annoying leather that sticks to you in the Summer.

The V8 GT has the sport bucket leather seats with the perforated leather -- much better airflow on them

Supposedly, the GT leather seats are way more comfortable too.

 

Here's one in red with the IUP. It shows the scuff plate too. The GT seats are the most comfortable seats I have ever sat in.

IUP ADDS THE MESSAGE CENTER. IUP DOES NOT CHANGE THE SPEEDOMETER. it will be 140mph with, and 140mph without the IUP on the GT. Actually, it's 145. No IUP -> no mpg, avg speed, trip timer, diagnosis, other nice text messages - i.e. no Night Rider feeling

Oh. And you don't get any kind of MyColor. No IUP -> green backlight.

 

For what it is worth I opted not to go for the IUP.

 

ill get IUP if its around the same price of the current IUP. 300ish dollars

 

The speedo and tac stay the same, with or without IUP... you get the tac showing 8 rpm, and the speedo showing 140mph. It's 120 mph and 7 rpm for the V-6, vs. the GT. You do get two extra gauges with the IUP.

Wife and I got a Mineral Gray to stop on Woodward Avenue the other night at dusk. Our first time inside of an 05. It only was a GT deluxe, cloth, no options. Still that car is awesome. Got to see the plain dash lightup, looked beautiful. Have ordered the IUP, I can hardly wait to have the one we ordered.

 

What colour IS the plain gauge by the way?
Is it all green?
or are the gauges white? (like what the IUP has without the lights on)

 

In regards to the two pics showing IUP and without.....It's a night and day comparison. The IUP looks much better IMO.
