Interesting info from GM
For those of you interested in seeing some competition from GM, here is a link to a long post from Scott Settlemire, who used to be the lead F body man at GM.

Obviously his statements are about numbers, and you know about numbers (you can manipulate them to say anything) but the part I liked was in his 8th post:
"One last thought:
There IS a V8/RWD/affordable performance coupe coming from Chevy. That's all I'll say about that."
Thats very good news because it keeps Ford and Chrysler from resting on their laurels and keeps them in the game. If you were a young adult in the 80's, the constant one-upmanship of Ford and Chevrolet over the Camaro and Mustang was a great battle to watch (and participate in). I hope it keeps going!

Whats even better about this (yes better), is that it will cool off mustang sales somewhat.... assuming its a camaro. This means, in turn, less waiting for future mustang gt owners.
ofcourse thats looking way ahead.

Chrysler doesn't have a V8/RWD/performance coupe in it's lineup.

It would be great to have all three going at it again.
I agree, I have no problem with a 4 door muscle car. Some think the world is going to end because the Charger has 4 doors. I would love to see this in the future.
$25-30k cars
- Chevy Camaro Z28/Pontiac Firebird Transam(The names may be different since GM has that agreement with that plant in Canada, not sure though since the plant was demolished
- Ford Mustang GT
- Dodge Challenger
$35k-45k cars
- Pontiac GTO - desperately needs restyled and shave some weight
- Chevrolet Corvette
- Ford Thunderbird - would love to see them make a coupe, skim a lot of weight off the current model, add more power, make it a legit Corvette fighter
