Ok, so I'm driving home from work, it's about 1245am, not doing anything out of the ordinary. I get on the highway on this short straight on ramp. I downshift at 20mph to 2nd and step on it a little, get to 3500 and feel my car start to take off so I upshift to 3rd, :drive: take it up to about 55 or 60 and shift to 4th and 5th at 65 then set the cruise. I reset my mpg monitor to get an idea of how my car is running with the little nonsense I've done to it, drive for about a minute and she starts to lose power. I step on the gas and get nothing, just slowing down. So with a puzzled look on my face I move over to the right lane and shut her down. Tried restarting her from a coast in neutral at about 30mph and get nothing. So I pull over and shut everything off and get a Low Oil Pressure light blink at me. I put on my hazards, scratch my head a little  and pop the hood. Wait for the ONE other car on the road to pass me and get out to see what her problem is. Open the hood, glance around real quick and see the intake tube disconnected from the throttle body. So after a little twist and push I get her back in place enough to drive home. Start her up and get back on the highway :drive: and average 27.4mpg at 65mph with the windows down (and I think I left the TC on too )

Anyways, I think when I got my front subframe replaced, when they lifted the engine they might have disconnected the intake and not retightened it all the way. So when I hit one of the many bumps on that road it just popped loose. I was about 5 mins from and just needed to share my experience with the TMS community, I don't have an online blog to put this stuff :P

Hey Justin That sucks!
At least it turned out to be minor.
How much did it end up costing you for the subframe install?

Well the subframe, lower control arm, and wheel bearing plus labor was about $850... The subframe was about $260 of that. That covers a good portion of the "Idiot repairs" number in my sig... I think the rest is on alignments over the last month, and the installation and balance of my new wheels and tires.
