Given that the Aston V12 is based on the Duratech V6, it's like the whole thing has come full circle!
Also interesting as the late 60's/70's Aston V8s looked a lot like a late 60s Mustang as well.

The Concept Art Looks Great! I especially love the Side Air Extractor in the Front Fenders, an Obvious Aston Que, but Looks right at home here. I also like the Double Scoop Hood. I hope the Project turns out as good looking.

Dunno. The V12 means it will probably be heavy, expensive, and the weight ratio will all be up front. (Not to mention 12 mpg). The thing will be smooth and powerful, but with a 70/30 weight distro, you're never going to get traction to the ground. Great for burnouts, but I suspect the handling of a pickup truck with the power of a freight train. Some will love it -- but I bet putting in a 5.0L cammer would give you a better car in almost every way. (Except quiet smooth freeway cruising at 150 mph).

Balancing that thing must be a dog!

I saw those Vanquish engines for sale awhile back. Kept wondering when someone would try to stick one in a Mustang.
And, don't worry about stock engine build ups. There will be tons of those from everyone. This is simply a cool SEMA project car to get publicity for the company.
I will be keeping an eye on this. Should be a fun project to watch. They should do one of those Discovery Channel shows about it, like Rides.

Wow! A V12, just like the original Mustang - P51 that is! While that motor will likely weigh a bit more than the 4.6, it is a modern all aluminum design, so I don't think it would be so much to make an oafish pig out of the Stang.
My dad's old '73 Jag E-Type has a V12, so I've always loved that iron hammer in a velvet glove character of that configuration. Both the utter smoothness and banshee wail at 6,500 rpm are unworldly.
I wish Ford would do some Vette and Viper competitor using a version of this motor to distinguish it from the V8 and V10 of the two aforementioned halo cars.
