Arrow INCREASE GAS MILEAGE in the Mustang? Anyone? intake?

Hi guys I know most of you may have some insite into this

I was seeing what can be done to INCREASE GAS MILEAGE for the mustang? I was told by a few people that installing the K&N Intake help
gas mileage? Is this ture? What other things have you guys done or seen?

I see then sellnig this thing on e-bay? But I just don't see how it would work and if so not better then a intake right?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FUEL-...QQcmdZViewItem

I would like to hear what you guys have to say.

Thanks.

Intake + tune, in combination, will increase your gas mileage (and performance).

That eBay listing is a scam. It will do nothing.

I agree intake and tune. I saw a 1-2 mpg increase after installing intake and tune.

DON'T BUY GIMMICS!!

Install a low restriction Cold Air Kit w/K@N filter, Underdrive Pullies, Low restriction exhaust, custom tune dyno tune(Bama Chips),change all fluids to synthetic and you will get better gas mileage!

you bought a mustang not a prius guys! haha now go chase down a black charger and make yourself feel better.

another gas saving tip that i thought about was, if you have a manual, throw it into neutral if your coming up to a stop sin or red light and just let it coast.

with a little searching you will find that you cant go wrong using
www.bamachips.com
www.brenspeed.com
www.tillmanspeed.com
or www.modulardepot.com they just released a CAI in the past week as well.
a majority of this board use one of the names I listed as far as mail order CAI/tunes.
there are many threads on "who is the best" I wont even get into that, you can research that on your own.
you can do some searching and find a local shop that dyno tunes also, and buy your CAI through them or however you want.

For you guys who have the message center (my deluxe doesn't) and manuals - does the computer display better mileage at 30-35 mph in high third or low fourth ?

In my car the sweet spot seems to be about 1800 rpm's. Best mpg is at about 60 mph.
