Well I was tooling around with a new C6 Vette this evening (mods unknown) and this guy went full throttle while we were on a two lane road and he was already in front of me at the time. Well after about 80 or so he started to walk away from me pretty good. This is the first time a car has pulled on me since I bought my car about 8 months ago. I wonder what it takes to get a N/A 05+ GT to run with a C6, I'll bet that this guy I was racing assumed I would turn into a speck in his mirror right away. Maybe when the new FAST intake comes out I can close in this gap a little more my with these newer Vettes.

I have an all new respect fot the c6 too. Two nights ago I was pulling up to the stop light and there was a car in front of me and a c6 passed me on the left and stopped at the light. So I decided to pull up behind him. When the light turned green he took off. I got a late start because I wasn't expecting him to take off. He pulled pretty fast on me but I only went to third because there was a pretty bumpy bend in front of me so I let off. It didn't even seem like he let off the gas around the whole bend, he was probably going 100+. Man those car's can handle. My car would have been all over the place. He didn't even have plates. It also could have been a z06 because the back tires were pretty fat but I couldn't get a good look because it was dark. A c6 comes with 500 hp right.

SC will help, but you'll need a little more... The GT500 can't hang with them . I have always said, "Well, they cost twice as much." It makes me feel better... lol. With the ridiculous price of the GT500, spend a tad more and get a C6. With "that" you get the piece of mind knowing that only a fraction of the world's sport cars can hang with you... and it's AMERICAN BABY! I love my Mustang, and I am totally satisfied, but you gotta like the C6 .

Base C6: 400 hp
C6 w/Z06: 505 hp

If a base c6 comes with 400hp then a s/c 05+ mustang should take it with no problems

Yeah, C6(45K) = 400 hp. Z06(65K) = 505 hp. Not sure about the comparable with the GT500 w/o researching, but I know that the Z06 can run a 0-60 3.6 sec/0-100 7.9 sec. That's fast , but I think that the "thread" is referring to the C6.

im fine with a C6 vette being the ULTIMATE usa performance car...

the new Stang GT is more of a muscular presence...a GT...a menacing beast floating down the road. a 4 seater with some trunk space...you can still do a nice road trip with your wife or girlfriend....its still very fast respectfully and thats good enough

vette C6...light weight....2 seater....all out performance car made to take on german and italian supercars....

Yes, in fact I have posted my message on lots of forums to find out what experiences other people are having with the c6...It's pretty cool to see all the input everybody has on this topic..

i like the C6 but to me it all depends on the driver, one time i pulled up to a C6 and i could tell this guy was still in high school and just got the car, he gunned and followed and started to pull away on him but i could tell he did not know how to shift if his life depeneded on it

The C6 is also lighter and has one more gear ratio.

The one more gear only makes a difference at high speed. It's just an in-between overdrive. It makes no diff until you are over 120mph.

The Vette is an awesome car, but they shouldn't be compared to a Mustang for that reason.

LOL. Yeah, you're right... But a free spell check would have not found that word to be misspelled. Spell check = verifies the correct spelling of words of a language. Dictionary = list the words of a language and gives their meaning. I think you probably meant, Here's my Christmas present... a free dictionary!! j/k as well Get back to work!
