Im getting worried - been on ramp since 25th

hey guys, i ordered a couple of months ago and i've been tracking the whole way. I never go my VIN, but i trusted the ERL. Well i called on Tues the 29th and it said as of the 25th my car was on the ramp, so i went to the dealer wed afternoon to check out what was going on.

My salesman checked the book with me, and sure enough it said that it had arrived in New Orleans(actually avondale) on ramp 22, on that Friday. He walked with me through the lot to try and see if the car was in or not, no dice.....

He said it would have to be in today or tommorow, but i called this morning i and think i heard him say "we had a truck come in, its probably here on the lot hold on" he came back to tell me it wasn't in yet. Now my salesman is a good guy, seems very patient.....but should it be taking a Week to get to me, i think that is a little overkill. Thats why i'm starting to get worried.

The railyard guy I spoke with told me that vehicles have to be delivered to the dealer within 72 hrs of arriving at the railyard.

Hi. Mine arrived at the railyard Saturday 8/26 at 6pm and arrived at the dealer on Wednesday morning 8/30. Took around 3-4 days including a Sunday (and the dealer said they placed a priority on it at the railyard for what that was worth)...

Chip, i appreciate the input: seeing as this is a recovering katrina area i would suppose that they would have suspended any 48-72 ship rule because of whatever reasons. But if it is true, it still holds to my suspicions considering the railyard is maybe a 20 min drive by car just over the huey P long bridge.

Hightime, where do you live at? Sorry to see yours is taking so long as well. I'm just worried because i'm dealing with the biggest ford dealership in louisiana not to mention the only motorsport authorized dealer in LA (lots o good parts!) So i would assume they would have their **** together if this is their fault.

torchred, i assumed 3-4 days based on a friend of mine who ordered from the same dealer - but this was pre-katrina, so i let it slide a few extra days but coming up to day 7 and its IN the new orleans area, i assume that with regular truck visits that something isn't right.
If i get it tommorow, all this worrying is for nothing, but ive been saying all week, ill give it another day - if i don't investigate and something IS wrong...well then i may have a lost car.

My salesman keeps telling me to call 10am every morning...i understand they're busy as hell because of the labor day sales event...but don't neglect me!!!

i even have a name for her! And her first Bra!

Chris,

Don't take this wrong, but at least neither of us are alone in the experience...
I live in Tucson, AZ. The ramp is in Phoenix ~120 mi. When I called my dealer earlier in the week, he stated that he has experienced up to a week for it to make it down here to Tucson. I keep reading the 72 hr benchmark to get to the dealer, but I guess we're proving that not to be the case.

Yours got a name and a bra, mines waiting to get the Corsa axleback, tinting w/ moleskin, lowering springs, and the CDC shaker hood scoop. So even after it makes it here I have a wait on my hands.

still waitin' and hope you get your baby soon! Congrats!

Mine arrived at the ramp yesterday at 5 am, at 3pm I was at the railyard with my salesman picking it up. I guess I am extremely fortunate to have the railyard 20 miles from my house and a super cool saleman.

well i finally saw her yesterday! Taking delivery today. Apparently the shipping procedures are not what they used to be post-katrina. Thank you everyone for your insights.....and
hightime it will come in! Mine was 20 min away and it took a week, so yours will obviously be a little while. hang in there bro!

anyways im going in an hour to take delivery....and of course pictures!
