I'm guessing he is dynoing for an aftermarket company that is in process of modifying.

Most car magazines calculate a 15% loss, so that means the car is at 323.5 HP at the crank. A cold air intake and pulleys should easily put this car near 350 HP if these numbers are true.

dynoed a yellow 05 today very impressive!!!! thing laid down 275 HP and 292 ft/lb all stock!!!! modifications will begin soon rumor has it that i can squeeze close to another 20hp out of her with my SCT tuning software

He is talking about the car as if it is his. How did he get it before shipping date??
Who knows, I'm waiting to see the dyno sheet myself. We have heard it was 15-20HP underrated all along though.

Blue,
The 275hp is a measurement taken at the rear wheels. The 300hp number from Ford is taken right off the motor. A 300 hp motor should only pull around 240-250 at the rear wheels.

Yea the pulls sound like hovering around the 320 mark. Thats not totally unbelievable on a broken in motor. I would bet that even though its 'all stock' he pulled the air cleaner before running it. It would be pretty much exactly my guess from the specs from the get-go. So I will drop a bet now that it dynos 318-322 after 1000 miles and runs a 13.4 at 105 at sea level.

Steeda is also the best in the business with every part they make. I have had great success with their stuff over the years, you can see the more precise engineering in every part over others.

Not only that, I thought the computer hasn't been hacked yet, and yet he states SCT Tuning Software!! Makes me wonder a little bit, but I do like the 275 at the wheels!!

It was said a long time ago that the computer would be easilly tuned for the aftermarket companies, in a Ford quote. Everyone thinks its hard to crack because it was on the SVTF, they are JUST figuring out how to tune those.

I also have a feeling that a set of 3.90 gears is going to be magic for this car.

I think I'm gonna be quite happy with the stock 3.55 gears!

A yellow GT?????? if so 275 H.P. is not impressive, that is 25 less then Ford said it would put out I don't believe ford would get burned again on H.P. like they did with the 99 Cobra. check that dyno again.
Let's try that again ... REAR WHEELS.

BTW ... I'll give you a ride in an underpowered '99 Cobra ....

I say 4.10s or 4.30s, those would be plain silly in this car!!

Funny I picked up the brouchure and I like how in one section about the rear axle set up, it says "Rear axle ratios are easily changed, an important consideration for racing enthusiasts"

I just wish that those people that have never stepped foot in a '99 (sssuming this is the case) wouldn't immediately pull that card when there is talk about HP ratings.
