Also it's the V-6 Mustang that keeps this car in production. I tip my hat to all Mustang owners. And it is people like April that make this board what it is. So to keep this tech definately get it looked at but remember its the decision of Ford as to what happens concerning a rebuilt vs new. I personally think you will get a new one due to the availability of the 05 tranny and what not. Good luck with your tranny.

Oh also theres this strange thing if I have the window down, rear drivers side tire sounds like its flapping paper.....Could be just wind noise?

I guess this is why warranties are invented. Better be a quick fix, I can't go back to a non mustang overnight. I'll die. The second time people were watching too, I was SOO embarassed. Third time I was trying to smoke a minivan.

And my shaker decided to act a fool tonight too. What a night. She must be mad at me for showing my love to a Gt 500 this afternoon.
April

After rereading your complaint & with the noise at the rear wheel, you may have a rear problem. I seem to recall several rear problems, most recently a V6. I don't recall any threads on an auto having problems.

Good luck.

Yes I did leave the van behind- but not without that embarassing pedal to the floor hesitate thing- It was pulling like 5500 rpms.

I also got to be embarassed when I was pulling out of my parking spot at Logan's last night- reversed, went to put in drive and it made that hideous noise and wouldnt go for a second.

Gonna have a thorough go through when I have a little coffee and get dressed. The dealer is like 5 minutes from me and service is open today.

Here's an idea? How about printing all these posts you have made about ragging on your new Mustang April, and send them into your dealership for a complete review??????????? Of course, I am JUST kidding...

Just be glad it is happening while it is under warranty!! Mine went out with 41,000 miles on it! Ford did pick up 1/2 the cost of the tranny, but I was still out 1,500!

Yes, I guess weare neighbors!! Actually sat in your car while it was on the show room floor!! However I ordered mine from a friend at a dealership in Boaz.

Good luck on your transmission problem. Hopefully it will not take thm long to fix it!!

Don't these problems concern anyone? The list of 05 Mustang problems seems to be growing.

Consensus from Dealer:

Acting a fool on acceleration is me taking my foot off the gas while its shifting= Fine, I can live with that, be happy to stick it ***** to the wall. I took the service tech on a ten mile tour- including a 80 mile trip down the entrance lane to the interstate.

The cluthunk noise has to be repeatable before it can be diagnosed- And trust me I tried my dearest.Nada.

I guess we need to know if these problems are real, or attributable to something else....as per the post right above this one. B)

Problems are pretty common in the first year of an all-new vehicle... Ford seems particularly prone to this. It's not going to stop me, that's what warrantys are for!

You took the service tech on a 10 mile trip....shouldn't that have been 90 miles including your 80 mile interstate on-ramp??!! LOL!

Them "Southern" highways sure give you a lot of road to get up to highway speeds!

This particular onramp is a beauty- its 1/4 mile downhill Usually lightly travelled. 80 MPH!! It was frigging spectacular too, never did it before, but I REALLY wanted somethng to snap crackle or pop. Of course it didn't because you all KNOW the problem never happens when you take it for service.

There, now you have my blonde moment for the week.

I had something very similar to that on my Taurus SHO. Found out the Vehicle Speed Sensor caused it to do what our saying!!
