The same thing happened in my current vehicle (02 Sport Trac). Ernest McCarty ended up replacing the tranny. I would tak it in ASAP and have it checked, maybe they can fix the problem before any damage is caused.

Oh also theres this strange thing if I have the window down, rear drivers side tire sounds like its flapping paper.....Could be just wind noise?

I guess this is why warranties are invented. Better be a quick fix, I can't go back to a non mustang overnight. I'll die. The second time people were watching too, I was SOO embarassed. Third time I was trying to smoke a minivan.

And my shaker decided to act a fool tonight too. What a night. She must be mad at me for showing my love to a Gt 500 this afternoon.

If the tire is slapping, it's a bad tire. either a bad belt or it's out of round. Either way, get a new one installed for free under warranty.

If I were you I would finish off the tranny so they give you a new one instead of rebuild it.

Tried to smoke a minivan huh, thats funny.

when you put them cobra badges on it that put to much torque on that v-6 !!! If you take them off it would probably be a quick fix. and quit letting them hillbily relatives of yours put that moon shine in the tank eleanor could just be getting to messed up and not know what to do!!!

April have you checked the tranny fluid dip stick to see if full and nice and pink? Ya never know, maybe someone forgot to top er up when built. You might think the clunk would be a bad U-joint,but seeming how its hesitating then gotta be the tranny. Why not drive the heck out of it next couple days, and see if it continues. Also if it is the tranny, demand a new one (scream and bit**) dont let them give you a rebuilt job.... good luck
