Originally I ordered an 06 Tungsten (I was deadset on the color) and waited for months and months and finally gave up hope on the dealer. After Tungsten came out people started to complain that it sometimes had pink and lavender hues, unfortunately not a one dealer in my area has had a Tungsten that I could see. Now on the verge of reorder Satin Silver has 50% of my vote. The 18inch wheels (both blades/bullits) seem to really pop on the Satin Silver, but I still like the Tungsten. I was hoping if I let you guys know what I want you can give me some feedback/opinions on what color to choose. Pros/Cons to the colors, experience with both etc are all very much appreciated. I know I cant go wrong with either, but I as I have been waiting patiently for years for my first Stang I want to get it right. I plan on ordering today.
This is what I plan on getting.
-18 Inch Polished Bullits
-Dark Charcoal cloth interior (going aftermarket or seatcovers later)
-IUP Silver Accent Dash
-I also plan on tinting windows soon after arrival.

Tungsten with full white stripes is the color scheme of champions

I gotta agree with this post. Does it get any better? (Except that the stripes are silver instead of white)

Tungsten makes Satin Silver look like white, it is a real classy color and you can't go wrong. It even looks good dirty! Oh and with the red interior it drives the ladies crazy!

Satin silver is flat out sexy and IMHO, the classiest color out there----easy to keep clean and looks great when contrasting with black and/or chrome accents-------not to mention the 4 " Borla Tips

How about Tungsten w/ Satin Silver stripes:
I must add that Satin Silver was easier to keep clean than Tungsten. I have had both.

Donna,
In retrospect, which color did you enjoy more?

I too was worried about the purple/pink hues reported in the Tungsten color. Seeing it in person quashed all my fears. It is a beautiful color, timeless and very sharp.
Another vote for Tungsten.

well peeps, I did it. Stuck with my original, I guess I figure Tungsten is a more visually striking as there are plenty of Silver cars on the road. Ordered through Ed/ISELLFORD. Excellent service and help so far.

Congrats!! I had to look all over to see where this topic went!! It was moved but there was no link.
I have to say that I like the Tungsten better. I had Satin Silver with med. charcoal metallic stripes before (which were very close to Tungsten). The Satin Silver was a little easier to keep clean, but in my opinion the Tungsten looks classier. This a pic of my traded car.

I have had my Tungsten for a week now and get nothing but Great Color! comments. If you are ordering your stang this late in the '06 build season and think you might be disappointed with the purple hues in the tungsten, Ford has an Alloy Grey coming in '07. I would think that it is going to be darker than the tungsten without the blue and red hints.

Thank you for all the feedback. Now my paps is trying to sell me into the idea that I should add ICAP to the order. I am trying to convince him if I save a little I can tint windows, etc etc. But he insists leather is the way to go. Ahhhh decisions decisions.

Whatever you do, DO NOT ORDER TUNGSTEN SITE UNSEEN.
Everyone has their opinion on it and there doesn't seem to be a middle ground, you either love it or hate it. See it in person.
I was torn between tungsten and satin as well. Ended up going with Vista.

I couldn't be happier with my Tungsten GT. The only purple or blue hues I see is when it is reflecting a sunset.
