I need this!

It's a small thing but I really want (need) this fender badge! They sell S H E L B Y letters on Shelby's website so it can't really be a fear of cloning, right?

There are some really nice billet add-ons at that site.

I like that fender badge - nice find.

I contacted Shelby Auto, even used my Ford email address, and they will not sell them to the public.

I'm bummed! It doesn't make sense to me because you can buy the SHELBY letters, a GT500 Stering wheel, GT500 faux gas cap, but you cannot buy a "POWERED BY FORD" badge that's good for the whole brand!

How short-sighted is that?

That does look good Rich, I like the new one better but I'll probably have to go with the old one.

Hey Rich,

Are the two alignment holes from the stock GT badge horizontal or verticle? Did the Powered by Ford badge have pins or just 3M tape? If so what did you do to the holes, anything?

From the website..." Features 3M adhesive tape for easy mounting anywhere."

But what about the holes? Just leave 'em? Anyone have a pic of the fender with the badge removed?

Ugh...

I can't STAND "powered by..." ANYTHING. IMHO those badges look like crap.

Besides... what else would be powering a 'Stang, a Honda engine? Puh-leaze...

I like it becasue it reminds me of the 60's Shelby Cobra's and Mustangs that had "Powered by..." valve covers and badges, etc.

True... it was cool... However, I feel though that the whole "Powered by..." has been corrupted by those stupid ricers and their crappy "Powered by Honda" stickers...

GT Emblem Holes in Fender

There are two holes in Fender when GT badge is removed. Smaller round hole is above and to the side of the larger square hole. The GT is held on by tape only and I found can be easily removed with braided fishing line (like spiderwire). The darn holes controlled where I was able to mount my retro "MUSTANG" logo.

It appears from pics that the powered by ford emblem should cover it easily.
