Your RED stang is beautiful! wow! you know that stock spoiler is starting to grow on me and i think im gonna just keep it. it adds to that RETRO muscle car look even more. Not to mention saves time/hassle/$ to replace to another spoiler.

the stance of your car is perfect! i love the contrast of your wheel color with the red car. are you keeping the stock 17's or going bigger?

i tell you....i drove about 30 miles on the eibach/d-spec with my 20's and it didnt feel harsh at all. my BMW M3 felt way more harsh on 18's and lowered suspension. the d-spec's adjust so easily even a goofball like me can do it!

thanks again for the I LOVE MY MUSTANG post!! keep them coming!!
Yo, Yao...
Thanks for the kind words. Like alot of fellow Stangers I've got a wish list...CDC Ducktail, Bamachips intake upgrade, 18" Bullitts, Vortech, etc. But these cars are so sweet to begin with that I'm OK with just being patient, and choosing my upgrades carefully. But D-Specs are high on the list, and now after seeing your wheels... oh, yeah!
And I'm happy enough with the stock wing that I may do the Ducktail way down the road.
Maybe as a final touch.

To add on to my original post at the beginning of the topic I will say that since I was in sixth grade I wanted a sports car. As I got older, I had some years that were tough on me. Now up until this point I had always liked Stangs, but the odler ones. The current SN95s were nice, but I couldn't see myself owning one. Enter S197......the first words out of my mouth when first seeing the production version were "Holy SH*T!!!! That car looks amazing!!!!!!!!"

Anyway things at that time had turned around for the best and I decided to reward myself for putting up with a bunch of crap and acheive my sports car dream.

Although I do baby it too much and don't drive it as often as I should, I love this car. I am STILL, after a year and a half, amazed to see it in the garage everyday.

Lets put it this way. I like the S197 so much I'm seriously considering buying my baby a 2005 or 2006 Vista Blue GT big brother! Or I'll just save for the Viper I always wanted. Not sure which yet.
I share a similar story. Having grown up in a motorhead family and seeing the old cars going in and out of my Dad's shop, the fastback was the personification of a true American Muscle Car IMO. So, upon seeing the 05 fastback for the first time, it was OMG! And all i could see at first was the outline of her amongst all the other cars on the lot. It was like being transported back in time to the Era and the car was a great modern day rendition of it.

The perennial car to me was always a 67GT500, it was the same thing all over again when i heard they were re-incarnating the Snake. I count myself among the lucky few who have found their dream car.

So, IMO & experiance, go ahead and get that Big Brother.

LOL. I may do that. You are the second person who has said that. However, I wish that big brother could be a GT500 instead. Either way I have to pay this one off first.

Hey hey!!

Took my Stang out other night and it ran as smooth as ever.
I didn't get to race anyone, but I had a great time just cruisin' around.

Was rolling in 6th at night minding my own business when a twin turbo truck came up on my behind at an excessive speed - revved it up and put it in 3rd and lost him When they caught up i was settled back in 6th - their faces as they rolled alongside when i let down the limo tint windows was priceless.

No I decided the last minute to bring her and forgot the camera. Prior to that, i rolled up in the Roush and they gave me hassle about not showing up in Angel.

Add another mustang lover to the list!
My first was a V6 1996, black/automatic, bought brand new
and drove it for 135,000 trouble free miles.
Wish I still had it since it was paid off!
I also owned a 2002 GT, bright red/automatic, but only kept
for around 18 months due to circumstances at that time.
Well, been through a couple other cars (even a PT cruiser <gasp>), but now I'm back.
Should have never strayed.
I bought a 2006 GT torch red/automatic back in August.
Nothing can compare to the unique vintage look of these cars.
Hopefully Ford Motor Co. will stay afloat to keep these cars
in production for years to come, otherwise we might all have
collector's cars regardless of model year!
