I don't know whether to go boss or shelby either.

screaming yellow with a big black hood stripe, some boss inspired stripes on the side, a big black stripe going from the end of the rear window to top of the ducktail, a black spoiler, and the tail light area blacked out. mmmmm... bosserrific!
can you say Eleanor
some inspiration:

And Steer OUT of the spin right? Not with? In case I go all nutty again......

Turn in to the slide! Go practice in an empty Parking Lot and most importantly have fun.
Michael PS. And be careful

Cripes-
I would have to take off the rocker panel stripes to go boss!!

My dealer is willing to do it for me, but it will be the fugly ones in the catalog.

I have a few good leads. When I get off my mac and cheese diet I will pursue them.

yea, you will have to take out the ones in the rocker panel.
the shelbys will look good too. make sure you dont get those sorry looking things from the the catalogs lol. if you go shelby, make sure the stripes go ALL the way down the bumpers

April...did you see that yellow 05 mustang with the stripes and the blacked out tail section from yesterday's postings??? That looked so much better imo than stripes running all the way down the bumper..

No time to memorize that, too busy racking up miles!

One more- I opened my hood today, she has a blanket around the battery. What for?

Also- Wheel locks- do I always keep the key handy?

Out of habit, I got in, stuck in the OLDSMOBILE key. She didn't like that- made a nasty noise at me.

And Steer OUT of the spin right? Not with? In case I go all nutty again.......
I've never liked wheel locks. Can never get them off when you want to, and they come off too easy for the bad guys that want your wheels. It's amazing how well the right sized socket and a bigger hammer can work as a key for those.

But if you do have wheel locks, can't hurt I guess, at least it'll slow 'em down a little, be sure to keep it with the car. You'll be sorry if you ever get a flat, or take it for tire balancing or rotating and don't have it with you.

you want to keep the wheels straight with the road, and use controlled motions... if the rear end starts going right, steer left. But don't overdue it or you'll be kicking the rear end out and around the other way.
Isn't is steer OUT of a skid with FWD and steer IN to the skid with a RWD?

As I understand it. With RWD you are "pushing" yourself out of a skid and with FWD you are "pulling" yourself out of a skid.

turns out I screwed up. I applied brakes and steered out of-backend was going right, I steered left. It straightened her out, and I peed a little.......

If the hiney end fishtails right, turn the wheel to the right. This keeps the wheels that determine the direction of the vehicle (the front wheels) pointed the direction you want the vehicle to go (forward).
