(just kidding btw ) because.....you're all buying TOO MANY GTs!!! It's cool that the 05 is this popular because it means that it's gotta be sweet, but it stinks for somebody who is just now financially able to try and get their hands on one.

I spent over 3 hours today on fordvehicles.com looking up dealer inventories from multiple zip codes of EVERY city with 20,000 people or more in CA south of LA, and in ALL of AZ, NV, UT, CO, and TX. I found ZERO GTs with the exact options I was looking for, only 2 that had all the options except was a different color, and 2 that I'd probably live with, but barely had what I wanted. :bang:

Looks like I'll just have to put in an order and wait in line untill the 06 model comes out...

I thought the same thing, but I kept checking every Saturday morning and eventually I found a sonic blue GT exactly like I ordered down the street. Anything could happen

My original plan was to wait until spring....

Couldn't do it, I had figured something like this might happen once the masses caught wind of it.

Looks like I was right.

Do the wait and get the car you want, even if it turns out to be an 06' Give Sanderson a shot in Glendale, they've got alot on order, but their allocation ain't too bad. (compared to the other horror stories of 1 per month)

Also expand the search to outside those boundaries, is it worth a plane ticket an a road trip

WELCOME TO THE CLUB!!!!!

I'm waiting because I refuse to pay the $5,000.00 OVER sticker that the dealers here in So Cal are charging.

But relax, read these forums every day and it will help get ya through the wait!

Same here. Mostly because I could not afford it. But then my parents gave me a surprise. They offered to help pay some as a living inheritance (plus I will never get a x-mas or birthday gift again) and they said they can get me X-plan. So I could not refuse. I ordered in July an dpicked it up in Nov.

exactly do the research. you will find dealers willnig to do x-plan or dealers who are willing to movethe cars immediately. or dealer trades between dealers. gotta force them to do some work too. if your persistent they will help you if your a pushover they will rape you on price

I'm sorry your search yielded no success. You took a very proactive approach to getting what you want; that tells me that you are not willing to settle for anything less. Good man! You'll be even happier with your 'Stang when it comes built to your specs!

btw, I love your avatar. Cracks me up!

Thanks for all the encouragement guys! I definately will be holding out to get exactly what I want and not settle for less. Even if I have to wait for an '06 it will make the car mean that much more to me when I get it.

Hmmm....think the cops would help me out to get one quicker if I promissed to get a lot of speeding tickets in it?? :cop:

I've heard good things about them as well, my boss got his Super Duty from them, he swears by them, plus you'll save a little on taxes too.

If you can wait and order the exact car you want! When you get it, waiting will be all worth it! I know first hand about that! I got mine exactly how I wanted it!
Happy Trails!!!

Go tp the dealerships - you'll find them. The problem is they are not around long enough to make it to the website. I saw a lime green GT yesterday + Torch Red and Black at another dealership!
