I had the same boat, the person took off my mirror then laid it on my hood . Then about 2 months later car parked in same spot 2 tires knifed!! . The mirror if you have it should literally snap back in. I feel your pain, sorry to hear bro, makes me think twice of parking on streets now.

A friend of mine lived in Mexico in a walled, gated community south of San Diego across the border. The local cops would stop him once a month for the demanded bribe. You know, he did not have to pay, but he always did. Stuff never happened to him either, other than the monthly shake down.
Maybe, it was the police? Nice new shiny car and no increase in the local extortion?
Mexico, needs serious reform. The country is run like the Mafia.

Can the grill be taken out without breaking it?... and what kind of sick **** steals your side mirrors...?

Well, just reporting to say that my car was as good as new this past wednesday. Total ended up being $1,400. I even got the side mirrors painted to look the same way as all the car, and some protections so you can't take the mirrors away again. Also put some fake torx screw heads glued to the rim caps, just in case.
And, did you notice when I said was at the beggining? My grille with both fog lights was stolen today, in less than 5 minutes that I was away from my car.
Does anyone here have the exact measurements of the grille, so I can fabricate my own stainless steel overlay (at least that will prevent people from just yanking the grille)? I can get access to a laser cutter, so it wouldn't be expensive like buying the CDC or Saleen ones, since, as you can imagine, I'm out of cash.
Also, if anyone knows, is there any nice aftermarket grille that completelly replaces the stock one?

Really, you need to setup a camera.
My friend had a problem with his landlord coming into his apartment and stealing things. I setup a motion sensor camera and the fool showed up the next day! We called the police and they threw the guy in jail. He had TONS of stolen goods in his house. TONS!
So since this has already happened to you twice, I can almost promise you that it will happen again. Take the proper measures or move.

Thats just sick I cannot belive that they would run of with your grill again if I were you you can get special screws that only tighten and cannot be removed (backed out ) .At least if they want it it will have to come out in pieces.
