Driving Manual is fun, but its a lot of work, PLUS its a WHOLE lot easier to let the car get out from under you speedwise. Eh, your just used to driving auto's.
On my favorite interstate onramp, I can get Eleanor up to 90 before it ends. I only made it to 70 on the new one. you probley took too long to shift, but again, your'e used to an auto, its understandable
The Auto is quicker off the line than the manual. Pressing gas to go is a lot easier than 1,2,3,4,5.highly doubtfull, even though the new A5 is a big improvment on the 4rW70(the previous auto) it wont beat a manual off the line stock if you know how to drive the manual.
You can't talk on a cell with a manual, if you gotta shift, you are screwed. You REALLY shouldn't be talking on the phone while driving PERIOD.
The manual has more control on wet roads than my auto. I turn right too quick in the rain on mine and I lose the rear end. Neither one of my mustangs has TC or ABS- so this is interesting. I honestly dont see how the trannsmision comes into this, you can do it with either, its all about speed.

Errr yea, It wouldn't be a good rainstorm if I didn't fishtail at least once.... Right now though, she is hiding in the garage because I just washed her good and proper and it is raining. So needless, no one went anywhere today.

I don't forsee driving his mustang again in the near future. For what it has been driven it may as well be sitting on the showroom. If we go out, we take mine, If I go out, I take mine.....His just sits and looks like WHAT ABOUT MEEEEEE?

Who says you need rain to fish tail? my 85 GT made as much power as the S197 V6's do and it had no problem, but I did have 270 ft lbs of torque.

Haha, Foxes step out TOO easily. The S197's actually have a competent chassis...

Ya lost me here. I have to guess it is a lack of experience that you can't go faster in the manual tranny than the auto.

I think you have already been blasted enough about talking on a cell while driving..wait, I don't think anyone can get blasted enough for doing that

I admit it- I haven't driven a manual tranny since like 1998, so yes, I have learning to deal with BUT! Won't be again any time soon either- leaving that to the man. I just have gotten tooooooo spoiled in my own.
