I posted like 2 weeks ago that I ordered an 05 sonic blue premium coupe with IUP and the bright wheels but the last 2 weeks have been pretty long in waiting. I can't even imagine what you guys that have waited for a long time are feeling. So I figured I would check out local dealers inventory on the fordvehicles.com website this morning and sure enough I found a sonic blue premium coupe, 5spd, with drk leather interior and the bright wheels. The only thing it didn't have was IUP, it has ISAP.

So I went down to look at it and worked the #s with the guy, and it came out to about what I had ordered the car for (got their 1,000 mark-up taken off) and I decided to buy it. After looking at it a little bit I realized I like the all blk dash and blk interior so I think it's not bad without the IUP package. Also decided to get the paint/leather protection since it was only like 500$.

It's raining and the weather is crappy outside now so I only drove it home, but what a fun car. I'll take better pics when I clean it up and it's nice outside. Here is a pic I just took for now.

Has anyone baught an 05 off a lot that had one on order? Should I get my deposit back when I cancel the order? It's still clean and unscheduled.

When you ordered the car, did you discuss whether or not the deposit is refundable? You should definitely go talk to them about getting it back. What can it hurt Good luck!

 

Heck ya... go into the original dealer and get your deposit back. Unless they put it in writing that the deposit was non-refundable you simply have to cancel the order and you should then get the deposit returned (eventually).

Hey Snikt! Yes, I ordered a torch red GT on Feb. 4th and got sick of waiting too. My wife and friends got together while I was at work two weeks ago and searched for one on a lot. They found one (with all the same options as yours so thanks for the pix) four hours away, but I am picking it up on Wednesday! I went back to my original dealer and just nicely asked for my deposit back. I just told them that my previous lease was running out on April 1st and that I really needed a car NOW. Took about 35 minutes, but I got the $500 back. I promised I would do all service with them in the future too! Hey, great choice of tunes on the Shaker! Beautiful car!!!

 

Looks great. Get the door sill upgrades and some letters. It will go with the ISAP.
