I can't decide which color to order!
I haven't had great experiences with Ford's non-metallic paint. The black that is used on every Ford looks great when you shine it up properly, but it still doesn't "shine" like a metallic or pearlescent paint under strong light. It's all in your perception but personally I would stick with a metallic paint and a light interior color to reduce interior temperatures in the summer and for better aesthetics. Another way to look at it is how comfortable I feel with the colors I use for the interior of my house. I like it bright and clean, so the gray naturally worked for me. I didn't spring for the GT/CS because I didn't want anything related to California on my car. They're all about banning stuff, so I've imposed a personal ban of all things related to California.

Well, I went and took the plunge today and placed my order.
I wanted to wait a bit longer, but I need to lease and then buy it at the end of the lease to help keep my payment affordable. The lease price is excellent right now so it needs to arrive before 03/31/08. It's actually $68 less per month than the last program, so i'm happy!
I went for the Candy Apple Red with the Black/Dove interior. MSRP is $34,855 and X-Plan brought it down to $32,182.
Now I sit and wait for it to arrive and hope that all the snow is melted by then!

nice pick....
thats what i would have done also... white and the candy red are very hard to pick from..
i love the way a white stang looks, but am not big on white cars. and the candy red just looks too good to turn down

I did love the way the white looked, especially with a shaker on it. As Metroplex said, you want that 'shine' too, so I opted for the Candy.
Now I have to start scouring the threads for all the wax and polishing info!!

It's loaded. I like toys and gadgets, so I have to have it all. The only things I didn't get was the hood scoop, Mobile Ease, Fuel Door, Mats, and anything that was not available to a GT/CS due to other options.
I plan on doing the tracking. I just need to wait for the VIN to come in. Someone has offered to do it for me, and I guess I can do it over at the blue oval forums as well.

Saw a candy apple sixer yesterday... nice color. My explorer is Redfire and side by side they are different color... the candy seeming to be a deeper red. My Mustang is Vista, so I woud be partial to gettting a Vista......
might have gotten a redfire GT if I did not already have the truck which is my DD.

Instead of the 07 GT I ultimately bought, I test drove and almost bought an 07 Redfire GT/CS. It had the black/tan interior, and that was ultimately the reason I didn't buy it - black/dove looks much better!
I order all of our Mustangs at the dealership I work for, and I've seen plenty of GT/CS's in person. By far, the most stunning of the bunch in Grabber Orange with the rear spoiler delete option. Next favorite for me is a White GT/CS (for the best contrast of stripes on paint), even though I have never own a white vehicle in my life (too plain!). The Redfire or Dark Candy Apple would be my third choice. Vista Blue and Black just don't show the stripes, rear diffuser, and center of front chin spoiler well enough to notice it's even a GT/CS unless you are really studying the car.
