How to remove and install new wheel center caps?

So the center caps on my wheels have the Ford logo all worn off, so I just bought a set of new ones. Same thing that's already on there. How exactly do the center caps come off and go back in? I really hope I don't have to remove the entire wheel. Can you just pry the center caps with aflathead screwdriver? I don't care if I break them taking them off, as long as I can put the new ones on fine. And do the new ones snap right in? Sorry, seems like such a minor procedure, but I don't want to mess it up, haha.

Drill a hole in the old caps and use a strong hook to pop them off. Flat head will ruin the wheel.

The caps have a ring with a gap on the inside that holds them in place , the ring should close a little when you push the cap on and snap back when it's on. If you want to remove them in one piece , you'll need to take the wheel off to remove the ring first.

I replaced mine with black gt center caps. l took off the old ones with a small screwdriver a little patience and a gentle touch. all 4 stock ones came off without any damage(saved them for possible future use) and the new ones popped right in.. I was dreading having to take off the tires, so I gave it a go and it worked out.. use something soft between screwdriver and rim to prevent damage to rim. a cloth or something at the pivot point to pry them off without exerting the force on the rim itself.

Thanks for the responses. Since I don't care if I break the center caps that are currently on the car, so I think I'll try to get them off gently with a flathead screwdriver. The drill idea is good too, but I don't have one.

just work your way around the cap not over prying any one area and you should be fine.. might have to go around each one a few times to slowly get it off without damaging/scratching the rim

These pop right off from the inside once the wheel is removed from the car.
