Thinking of expanding my search to find a different dealer, is there any disadvantage of buying out of state?

Thanks

I live in Michigan and bought mine from a dealer in Oklahoma. They shipped it to my house. I have to register it and pay sales tax in my state only.

We are in NW PA.

It is funny how jbuch "I live in Michigan and bought mine from a dealer in Oklahoma. They shipped it to my house. I have to register it and pay sales tax in my state only." I got some zipcodes for the Michigan area to look up there.

My brother was pissed about the sales tax thing when he was looking for a new ride. He wanted to buy in New Mexico (were the family is from) so he could pay the 3.5% tax instead of the 8+% tax in Texas. His bubble was burst...

If it's delivered to New Mexico, he was supposed to pay New Mexico tax. Not Texas.

I bought my Mach 1 in FL. The dealer said I could pay Fl tax or PA tax. They also said I could roll it into the financing or pay it when I got home. I ended up paying the PA tax when I got home, when I did the paperwork for the PA registration.
