$545 - Car Payment
$375 - Mods Payment
$095 - Insurance Payment
$200 - Gas Allowance

$1215 - Grand Total and well worth it. Why pay cash when you can finance at 4% mods and all. I have the cash on hand to pay for it, but its much more fun to invest and make more than a 4% return.

I also think it's pretty crazy to buy outright unless you can't get a good rate.

I owe 5xx/month, I pay 600 to keep it simple. 4 year loan. Gas 100-125 a month, insurance is $460/ 6months.

It's honestly more car than I can afford but well worth it.

$435/mo loan payment
$115/mo Ins.
$160/mo. gas
Payback when in the drivers seat..............Priceless.

If I run the numbers for the times that I actually drive it, it comes out as follows:

$1305/mo loan payments
$345/mo Ins.
$53.33/mo. gas
Payback for not sitting in the drivers seat for 8 months.................Pure HE||.

Do you have any idea how much you can make with the money that's not tied up in a car? I got a low interest rate, made a miniscule down payment, and put the rest into investments. I can easily get a higher return than that with virtually no effort. Getting a loan ends up making me money. Anyone who has the money to pay for a car in cash should not do it. Not worth it.

The new Mustang is not for investment purposes, that is what the Shelby is for, and it is doing far better than any stocks or other investments I have

900 a month insurance? You mean 900 per 6mo? I know a guy with 2 DWI's and a DUI with several speeding tickets and has had his liscense suspended twice that has lower insurance than 900 a month.

$408.38/mo $0 down, 4.75% @ 60mo
$94.75/mo for Full Coverage insurance, I'm 18, no accidents or tickets. According to my insurance company, I still live at home, my dad drives the Mustang 1mi a week for pleasure, and I drive a 1965 Grand Prix 2mi a day to school.

Not a statement on any car in particular, or making it an investment, my new Mustang is depreciating like everyone else's.
It's about financing in general, for anything. If you can get a good rate and have the money to pay for the item in cash, it's much better to finance and put the remaining money into something with a better return. At today's rates you can easily make more than you pay in interest. With just a CD I can more than cover the interest, and that's with zero effort.

$393 for 60 mths
$110 per mth for insurance
$120 per mth for gas
$50 per mth for garage while she sleeps for the winter (-$120 for gas)

Driving a beater for 5 months... depressing.

My interest rate is really high because I'm young, and I didn't put a lot down.

I'm surprised to see all these people that pay cash for their cars ... Why wouldn't you invest that money elsewhere for the term?

I use OTHER people's money for everything I buy.
