Sorry for those of you who don't think this should be a topic....

Who here has ordered their '05 GT before 11/24/04 and still not recieved it yet? I am having severe issues with my dealer and my order. As my sig says, I ordered on 11/01/04, DORA on 11/18/04 and as of today (02/26/05) I still don't even have a VIN#! I think my dealer gave my order very low priority. :scratch:

I've looked at dozens of people's sig on here and am finding many people who ordered in December or even January already have their car or a delivery date. What I'm asking from you is any info or dates you may have to help prove to my dealer that my order is taking substantially too long.

If you have ordered before 11/25/04 and are in the same boat I'm in, that helps to. I'd just like to know. Thanks in advance!!

hi there Matt as you can see by my sig that i in fact ordered before then and i fell into that low priority hit of 45 and then around the middle or so of January they moved me up to a 10 and when they did things started rolling i got pulled a few weeks later and now HOPEFULLY my car is locked in to be built next week. I would go in and have a talk with the sales manager. I felt exactly the way you do a few weeks back as knowing that i ordered back in OCT and everyone was recieving their cars except me. The only comfort i can tell you is that when you do get pulled and hopefully soon things do seem to move faster you'll recieve your VIN and build date soon after next thing you know you will be cruising in your new stang. Hang in there man i know its hard I allmost pulled my order numerous times but my wife and mom stopped me, but at least now months afterward i know i will be getting the CAR i want .

 

I talked to my dealer today and found out that I was a priority 19. I spoke with the owner of the dealership and he moved me to a 13 and said that he would speak with the Rep on Monday because he couldn't move my priority any lower than that. We'll see what happens next week.

I ordered November 11th, got a build date last week after talking to the GM of the dealership and he had a meeting with the Regional manager the day after I talked to him. Don't be afraid to go up the food chain. The guys at the dealership are great, always answered my questions and helped me out, but as soon as I heard it was over thier head, that's where I went.

 

Ordered 11/6 and just now seeing the light at the end of the tunnel.

The dealership that I have ordered from has been very nice and I feel that they have done all they can do. I am trying to find out how to reach the area sales manager so that I can start bothering him.

 

I actually ordered in Nov she came in yesterday however to my dismay its not what I ordered. It showed up without IUP. Back in dec I called for status and my sales guy changed my order without mt consent to the 18R to expidite delivery. I told him the day after he changed it to change it back and did so according to the order sheet dated in Jan. So he calls me and says its in and come and get it. I wasnt 5 feet from the back and noticed that there was no IUP. I told the guy and basically he says " I dont know what to tell ya do you want to drive it"? I said no its not what I wanted. So I asked to speak to the Fleet Mgr who did a search in CA for Like Veihles with none to be found. They basically told me they will have to reorder the car but that they would call the area rep to see if they can expidite the order. So what do you all think what should I do about the issue. I ordered under X-plan I cant find a dealer here in northern Ca willing to do this. Markups in the Sacramento area are as much as 6000.00 over MSRP. Any suggestions on how to handle this? :bang: :notnice: :scratch: :shock: :angry:

 

I ordered on 11/11 and still nothing i go in every week to the dealer and they just tell me nothing yet as soon as they hear something they will let me know but i still go in anyway. I am starting to get real frustrated and am just debating buying something else, the dealer told me i would have my car in feb when i ordered and i was ok with that but now after seeing everyone else getting cars they ordered way after it is beyond frustrating.

 

ordered 11-08-04 still c & u.So I gave up,bought one off the lot for 400 under invoice.

 

I am still waiting.

With Ford stopping production of the coupe to supply all the dealers with convertibles, prepare to wait a little longer for your coupe.

 

11/8 here. last week was my build week though so hopefully it'll be here soon.
Ford really needs to straighten out their system for ordering cars. I understand a lot of the problem is dealer's lying about allocations, but that's not the whole problem. Someone who ordered a few weks ago should not in ANY case get a build week before someone who ordered 3 months ago. I don't care what the allocations are or what the specs of the car is. That is just inexcusable.

 

I don't believe Ford really cares as every car is sold. If they ever start to wonder why they are losing market share to GM and the imports, they might start caring. And then...maybe....

 

Had priority 40 for the order but was in no rush .I expected it to show up mid to end of febuary ,but getting caught in the quality hold for 3 weeks it's looking like mid March.Hopefully it willl be here soon.

 

They may just get that from me anyways. My wife wanted to get a Honda. I bugged her so much about the Mustang that she let me order one. However, we have decided that if we dont have a Mustang by May that we will cancel the order. After all, if they cant build a car in 6 months then they can kiss it. We are down to one car right now and that is really getting old!

 

They can build the car in less than 6 mo, they prove it every week. They just don't build ours.

 

ordered 11/23/04 and found out today that my car maybe in next week . gonna find out monday.
