Mustang #2 for me.
Started out driving the old minivan, graduated to an 89 Cutlass Supreme, then to a 97 Grand Prix, next in line was my 2000 Mustang, and now my (favorite car) 2005 GT.

This is my third Mustang. I have also had:

a '99 Mustang GT
an '02 Mustang GT

I also had an '87 Chevy Camaro IROC-Z from 1990-1999. I had a Ford Bronco as my first car before the Camaro. I am a Ford guy through and through, but I did like the 1980s Camaros, and for the time, it was a fun car. Don't hate too much. It was just a nine year slip.

I think he is asking that if this is your 1st Mustang, do you have it, or is it on order. It is a little confusing though.

For me, it will be my 1st Mustang and hopefully its being built the 1st week of May!!!!!!!1
Yea I essentially only expected poll answers if this was your first mustang, so thats why I originally had only the 2 options. Figured if this wasnt your first then no answer was needed.
I see one of the mods changed the poll, no biggie

1st Mustang I have ever owned. Have worked in the car industry for 12 years and 6'4" tall. Not many cars excite me as this one. Been driving trucks for a long time. Now I have this one and wifes is on the way.

This will be my first Mustang and first ever brand-new car....

From a 90 Geo Prizm ( ) , to a 93 Eclipse ( ), to a 95 Civic ( ), to the 05 Mustang ( ).

Next on my list (a bit later in life) is to find at least the shell of a BOSS and restore it to it's glory days. The BOSS is by far my favorite incarnation of the Mustang.

Wow you keep your Civic a long time! My trade in was 2001 Civic EX. Those Hondas have good used value. It was a decent ride but a toy compared to the Mustang.
[/b][/quote]

I actually owned the Eclipse from 99 to 01. Then traded the Eclipse in (numerous tranny problems) for the Civic in 02. So I've owned the Civic for just 3 years... It still runs fine although it seems like I have to replace the rotor's and CV joints too often. That could have to do with how I drive (hot & fast on the corners). The Civic was a means to an end and I'm glad to see it go. I'm going to try and sell it... I'll offer $5,000 but take as low as $4,000. Trade on it is between $1,500 to $2,000 which is way too low.

3rd but if you want to argue it could be 4th. 84SVO Wrecked, 88 GT, 05 GT. Also had a 79 Capri that was the same exact car as my friends 79 stang. At least they looked very similar.

This is my first Mustang and second new car purchase. Can't wait. I'm 6'2" and am surprised how much room I have. I have been a Mustang fan forever. A lot of my friends have Mustangs both old and new. They call all the time asking if I got it yet. Kind of reminds of how women are with their friends when they are expecting a kid.

Now I have to confess something. I voted that I had owned a mustang before this but it is important to note that I only had that car for 2 months (2989 miles) in 1996 before it was totalled. It was a bitter sweet satisfaction in that my parents always told me that I would drive the car too hard and get into an accident when, in fact, it was totalled while they were borrowing the car for the day. Anyway, it was a short time to own the car, but I think I qualify.

This is my first Mustang, first Ford, and first American made car in 20 years. I had an Olds Cutlass back in the 80's. I have been driving Toyota trucks, and wife has been driving Maximas for as long as I can remember. Hands down the Mustang GT is the most fun to drive of all vehicles I have ever owned.

1st 'Stang. 1st V6. 1st over 200HP.

My last car was a '94 Saturn SL2 with about 124HP.

Always loved the way older Mustangs looked but never really thought about getting one. Especially after what they did to them in the 80s. (No offense to those who like that look. Just not my thing.)

I was set on either a Miata or Spyder for the longest time. Then I saw the 05 and feel for it rigth away.

Now I just can't wait for it to arrive. I've actually started seeing others on the road. Almost a dozen in the lasy 2 weeks. Makes me want mine even more.
