How many do they build a day?
#2
It seems they are making a few more than that. I ordered mine December 9, and it arrived yesterday, a week ahead of schedule. GT with IUP, and Active Anti-Theft (two options that have been problematic)

man stangscuba98a , you have only been waiting a month and a half....I have you by a month and no progress. They build lots of mustangs, just not ours. They are too busy building the Jan and Feb orders.

I don't know how many shifts they are working, but if there are 3 shifts working a total of 24 hours/day, then 74 x 24 = 1776 cars produced per day. That would be maximum capacity.

Well all 3 of my local Ford Dealers are linked together. I was 19 in line when I ordered and this week I went up 9 spots to 10th in line. Getting closer.......cannot wait, I am tired of driving my winter 89 Probe beater! :notnice:

Has anyone who ordered theirs in Sonic Blue between Nov and Feb have their car or at least a VIN or a build date?
Seems like the salesman should be able to tell why the car wasn't allocated this week. My dealer said they had 2 allocations this week and mine has a priority 11 (he says that's the highest priority they order with).
I'm starting to look for another one on a lot somewhere, but I want what I ordered so it's gonna be tough. I already sold my car and I'm ready to purchase my mustang.
 "I WANT MY MUSTANG GT!"
Sorry for yelling. Thanks for letting me vent.

Your dealer's allocation can also contribute to your specific problem. If your dealer has a low allocation, it's possibly that high-volume dealer orders could be fulfilled before yours, even if some of their orders were placed after yours.

According to my hardcover 2005 Mustang book, the capability is for 74 cars per hour off the line. Total time for each car from start to finish is about 60 hours.

WTF, why Jan and Feb orders, they aren't done with December yet. I ordered on Dec 6th. I'm pretty sure it's not because of the IUP. There are people that ordered after me and are already driving their stangs with IUP. I'm beginning to think that they are out of Sonic Blue Paint either that or Ford's ordering system is severely messed up.
