I ordered an 06 GT vert on 8/4, and the dealer got into the system on the spot, and gave me the VOC before I left. ERL has it in the system as C/U, but the dealer says they don't have the DORA yet, 2 weeks later - is this normal?

Yes it is. A DORA is confirmation from Ford, that they recieved the order. It's good to have it so you can confirm what you ordered.

If your DORA is like mine, it got lost in a pile of paperwork. Took 'em two weeks to find it.

Dealer's aren't used to customer's asking for the DORA so they are probably trying to blow you off and hope you forget about it.
The only thing normal about it taking 2 weeks is dealers normally lie. Like John, said, they have it within a day or 2.
Ask for it again... and again, and again.

A DORA is generated on the evening after the vehicle is ordered and the dealer usually receives it the next day. It is not normal for a customer to get a copy of it as it shows invoice pricing. In fact in 24 years I have probably only given out a handful of them on the thousands of new Fords i have sold.

All of us TMS folks are messing up THAT bell curve, aren't we Ed?

We probably would be fine without it in most cases. But it is a fun piece of the car puzzle to have.

Thanks for the feedback! I figured being in Mid-Michigan (A-plan/industy insider central) that the dealer would be alittle more used to this.

I never received a copy of my DORA, even after asking for it. The dealer I'm working with seems to be fairly new to the game, so I think he thought I was referring to the VOC (which I did get a copy of). I could have pressed the issue, but I chose not to. I was just happy to have a dealer that was offering me a reasonable price (6% above invoice) and treating me like a human being. Fortunately, there was enough info on the VOC to track my car and it appears that it was shipped on the 16th!

Just tell your dealer you have access to the Price Lists via this website and already have access to the invoice prices (i.e., the cat's outta the bag already).

I did not even start talking to the dealers until I had Price List info and let them know I had all the Invoice prices. My salesman got my DORA 2 days after placing my order and mailed me the DORA so I had it 2 days after that.

It took me two weeks to get my DORA, but the sales manager was the one that handled them and he left for vacation the day after my order was placed, so my dealership actually had an excuse :P

I see you're putting this post in every thread about order status but realistically even though ERL is supposed to be dealer only it seems much less of an impact on Ford resources.

I've called customer service and while they're very nice and attempt to be helpful, they're not always on the mark. When it gets close to your build week and ERL isn't updating then maybe a call to CS is in order.
