How long from Flat Rock to NJ?

I called Ford customer care today since I can't get the ERL to understand my voice with the VIN number

They told me that my car was built today

My question is do they ship out right away and how long might it take to get here to my dealer in NJ?

Thanks for the info!

No one gets the ERL to understand the VIN. Use the order number.

Congrats.

That depends on if there is a hold. Once the rail moves, it should take at the most 8-9 days. My invoice said 9 days to Philly..

Let me clarify. It's 9 days once the ERL says it's shipped via rail carrier. Give or take a day. 6/26 I heard 'convoy carrier' (truck?) and 6/27 I heard 'rail carrier'. It hit the Pennsy rail yard on 7/3 (Monday), the 4th was a holiday, and it got to the dealer at 3pm on 7/5. So this was 10 days (with a holiday in between) so I'm thinking 9 days is just about right.

The key is, 'once it gets on a rail car'. That's when the '9 days' timer starts.

Problem is I don't have the order number. The one the dealer gave me must not be the one in the system at Ford because ERL says that its invalid. I'm stuck with the VIN only.

You should be able to get the order number from either ERL or Customer Relations since you have your VIN. Through ERL, ask for an Analyst and act as if you work for the dealership, they should be able to get that for you no problem. And while they're on the phone, check on the status.

I find it helps when you do this to write a script. Hi, this is Jim Smith from Dusty Rhodes Ford in Pensyltucky, PA, my dealer code is 78172 and I am checking on the status of an order. The first two is 1Z and the last six is 205588...
