First the good news: I ordered my Satin Silver convertible on Feb 16th and the Ford Fembot has been telling me that I am "Clean and Unscheduled" forever. But on March 11th she told me that "as of March 10th the car has been Serialized and is awaiting build schedule and ETA." And today (March 12th) she told me that "as of March 10th the car is scheduled to be built the week of March 28th."

Woo Hoo!!!

So... based on everyone's experience here, how long did it take for your car to actually be built? A week? Second, what is the delivery time from build to receiving taking right now?

Thanks everone. (If this is all posted in another thread, just point me there.)

Mine seemed to take a couple of days to be built, not really sure. From what I understand the day condidered your build date is the day it was completed. Mine was built 3/1/05, and should be here within the next week, hoping for today! That's about normal 2-3 weeks from build date to deliv.

Talking

To all,
It takes forrrrrrrreeeeveeerrrrrr!!( just kidding!)
It's been about 3&1/2 months and waiting.
Dealer called and said about a week.
But that's remains to be seen, with all the delays!
The wait I think is the most stressful.
But it helps having support on here!
Keep the faith all, we shall percipere!
Happy Trails!!

Okay... I agree.

But, what I meant was from the time of build date to the time of delivery - not from when you ordered to delivery. I was hoping to hear from some of those who have actually received their cars.

I guess everyone that got their 'stang is either out driving it, or is on the tech topics. My dealer just told me my scheduled build date is 3/22. He then went on to warn me to forget about that date and to expect my car by 4/22. I'll post the actuals when I get the car.

GT Conv Premium
Screaming Yellow
5 spd
Active Anti-Theft
IUP
Front Side Airbags
Wheel Locking Kit
Boot

Ordered: 1/30
Status on 3/12: VIN/Bucked
Scheduled: 3/22

I didn't order but my car was built 12/04/04, bought it 12/15/04. Well thats not entirely true, the engine says 12/4/04 and the sticker in the door just says 12/04.

Hey, if I had mine I would surely be out driving it and not starting polls about how long it will take... before I can be out driving it. :drive:

Man... I hope I am not one of those "more than 6 weeks" people (which seems to be the majority). But, I am amazed at the couple of "less than 1 week" people. I didn't realy expect to see anyone there - I just put the option there to complete the options. I don't know how that's possible, but I want to be them.

Ordered mine June 14th, build date is Sept 4th, delivered Oct. 31st. waited 4 1/4 months to get mine, but I ordered it before production had started so I knew what kind of wait I was in for. Well worth it so far!!!!

A little over two weeks. Built week of Nov 29th 2004 and delivered Dec 15, 2004. The car sat several days after train ride waiting on a car transport.

Mine was built Feb 9th or 10th and arrived Feb 24. So 2 weeks which seemed like 2 months.
