How do i know when my clutch is done?

How do i know when my clutch is done?

i was pushing preety hard with burn outs and for the first time i smelt the clutch.i have 18k on the car and i just wanted to know how do you know its time for a new one ? how do you feel the clucth slipping?is it when it takes longer to grab? thanks

Yea kinda, and you wouldnt be able to get it into gear if you didnt have a cluth. i felt one like that on a 97 GT and it felt like is was pulsating or something. its hard to describe.

That and when you start pushing the car harder you will notice a significant increase in RPM's with less go in the car...especially in the higher gears.

Like said above, the RPMs will run away faster than the car accelerates in gear ... i.e. the clutch is slipping.

When doing burnouts ... don't ride the clutch ... or any time for that matter.

Mine pulses whenever I drive hard... Then goes away when it cools down.
