how can I get an X plan pin #?

Can anyone help me out with info on how to buy an X-plan pin number? When I bought my 2002 GT it was a simple process. I called ford's X plan office last month and it looks like the rules have tightened up substantially. I want to use it to order an '05 GT vert!

I saw that but I really don't want to fly from RI to Kansas City to pick up my car. Don't have the time to do it and don't think I could keep it to break-in speed driving all over the country like that.

You actually pick the car up in Detroit. The follow on trip to KC is not mandatory but does sound like a lot of fun. I would probably stick with it for a couple of days and drop out and head home.
