how bad is it......
this is kind of a noob question but...i recently put my slp loudmouths on and my friend wanted to hear how they sounded, so i start the car up for the first time in 4 days and its idling for about 10 seconds then he says "give it a rev" and i told him he could, but to let her warm up a bit. well he gets in, waits 30 seconds....GRRRRRROOOOM GRRROOOM!
He rev's it up to like 5k two times...
How bad is this on a cold engine? Can it damage anything? It was making a super loud backfiring-popping noise too....
im just really worried right now.......

shouldent really hurt if the motor wasnt frozen lol, i havent had any troubble with cold starts and hard running on my truck thats why i love fuel injection, not like a carb, but no, i really dont think it'll hurt your pony
btw the backfire is most like the colder unburt fuel burning further down the line i beleive

Probably this one time wouldn`t do any considerable damage.
Your motor is going to be at its best when fully warmed up.
When cold starting mine I will not move the car until the fast idle steps
down, And not give it any hard acceleration untill the temp gauge comes up.
If you have an SCT set the neutral rev limitier for the next time.

So if your car has been reving for 40 seconds, and you live in Florida, you should not have any problem at all. There should have been tons of oil pressure.
The popping sound you heard was likely lack of backpressure under hard decelleration. You'll get used to that. Great for setting off car alarms in underground garages too
