Hood Scoop question?!?
#22
I would love to help out, but I lost my copy of photoshop and had to reformat my harddrive so I can not chop one right now, but I have a couple of chops that are close that might give you a good idea of what it would look like, just use a little imagination, or maybe someone can use what I post to finish the chop to what you want it wouldnt be hard. In my oppinion it would look best with the scoop and two stipes done normal like shelby striping so do the striping just like the hood wasnt there, and it would be partially on the scoop and partially off, if that makes sense. Anyway here you go.

It does look like the scoop from Sunset Ford. I saw those in person too , cause I work right by there.
I do like how it looks, but it it doesntflow with the stripes I am getting, then forget it.....I was just hoping someone could photoshop a pic to help me get a better idea.
Marshall ford has an accessories depart which is out of this world. They will order from ANY company, paint and install anything, and they give it a warranty cause they did the work. They are resonable in price too. Sunset had the scoop painted and inatalled for $850, while Marshall Ford has it for $500.....................
Thanks everyone......
ANyone in st. Louis and on this board have their car yet? Just wondering if I am the only one still waiting. I called today, and as of 1/2 the vehicle was in transit on Convoy Carrier.

Second, a retarded monkey could install one of those scoops, and it shouldn't cost more than $150 to paint it. It's such a small part that the materials will be cheap, and there should be very little labor involved. If it were me, I'd buy the scoop, attach it and make sure I was happy with the placement, then remove it, have it painted, reattach and call it done.

forgive the really dumb cut out in the front I dont really know what they were thinking on that, but in my opinion I think this car looks so good that you cant mess it up no matter what you do to it.....well with the exception of Roush......and Saleen......and Steeda.....well you get the picture.

I understood what they were trying to accomplish I just think they botched it...wouldnt look so bad if it wasnt such a giant chunk miising from the front, smaller in this case is better like on the GT350.

Hey PonyGirl,
I saw that WB at Marshall Ford today with the scoop. And personally, I would stay away from it. It would look to "cheesy" with stripes. I also took a closer look at it and there small gaps in the installation between the scoop and the hood, as well as clear coat drips on the edges. The scoop did not flow with the lines of the car very well. If you are going to spend that kind of cash you should try waiting a few months until the aftermarket heats up with parts. There are going to be better looking scoops coming out which I'm sure you'll rather have down the road. And more people will have pics of their installs in which you can see before you make a choice.

I saw the Pic's from Months Ago, but they were pretty crappy, taken from a car while driving along the dealership's front row, with a Camera Phone No Less. I was hoping PonyGirl could get some Better Pic's of it with a Scoop on the hood for us.

Here's a chop that I just put up on another thread about a BOSS 429 idea.... it's not mine, but.... there's a good one of how a black scoop will look in contrast to the car.
