They had a windeveil blue in the showroom with a hoodscoop on it and it looked great.

My question....

I am getting the dual black racing stripes from the dealer, and wondered what it would look like with the scoop on. Too much? Cool?

If the stripes did not fit on the scoop, then I was thinking about haveing the scoop painted black?!? How ould that look. ?!?!

I like the scoop a lot, but do not want it to look silly with the stripes.

Can anyone photoshop what this might look like? I have a screaming yellow GT, with black dual racing stripes.
I would like to see the stripes on the scoop, and then the scoop in black, so I can compare.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, but I wanted advise as well as a photoshop. Thanks for your help!!!

What kind/style of scoop was it?

Generally speaking, if you are going with the two LeMans stripes, it would be best to make the scoop body color and carry the stripes over it like the rest of the car.

Once I find a scoop I like that is what I will be doing

Can anyone photoshop this for us.

The scoop at the dealer looked a lot like the one from the 2004 mustang GT.

What would the scoop look like with the stripes running over it?
Or with the scoop being black?
I am not sure the scoop is wide enough to have the stripes on it, that was my only concern.

Thanks again.

Hard to visualize, but I don't think I'd want last year's scoop on a new 05.

I saw the Pic's from Months Ago, but they were pretty crappy, taken from a car while driving along the dealership's front row, with a Camera Phone No Less. I was hoping PonyGirl could get some Better Pic's of it with a Scoop on the hood for us.

I'm sorry my camera phone did not impress you. It was all I had. I still remember how funny it was when the salesman seemed all proud that they were the first dealership in St. Louis to do that. Then I told him it was crooked by about an inch and a half and he stopped talking to me.

Anyway here were the pics I could get. SORRY ABOUT THE PICTURE QUALITY.
j/k

Sorry Maverick, I didn't mean to offend you, but in general I have never seen a Good Picture taken with a Camera Phone. But it is great that we have them, how many Pic's of Prototypes have we seen, if it were not for Camera Phones? Like I said i would just like to see what it looks like a little better. Maybe some different angles too.

The scoop doesn't look bad from the pictures, maybe needs to be moved forward. The funny thing is, as much as I think the hood looks a bit plain, on another thread are pictures of a Roush without the hood scoop and it looks much better:

For some odd reason they actually sold them otherwise I'd go back with my Minolta SLR, get some VERY nice pics and scan them on my high res scanner at work. But, like I said, they sold them. If it's the same dealer I could go back and look but I think hers was Marshall Ford not Sunset where I got those pics. If she could confirm where they are I might be able to get a better shot.

We must have some BAD dealers in St. Louis. I know Maverick128 took those pictures at Sunset Ford. I saw a couple of them in person and it just didn't work for me at all because the scoops didn't fit smoothly on to the hood. They just stuck out oddly. Well, I also know that PonyGirl (who started this discussion) ordered her car from Marshall Ford (also in St. Louis). If it is anything like the Sunset Ford scoops, STAY AWAY!!! Leave it to dealers here to ruin a perfectly good car.

It does look like the scoop from Sunset Ford. I saw those in person too , cause I work right by there.

I do like how it looks, but it it doesntflow with the stripes I am getting, then forget it.....I was just hoping someone could photoshop a pic to help me get a better idea.

Marshall ford has an accessories depart which is out of this world. They will order from ANY company, paint and install anything, and they give it a warranty cause they did the work. They are resonable in price too. Sunset had the scoop painted and inatalled for $850, while Marshall Ford has it for $500.....................

Thanks everyone......

ANyone in st. Louis and on this board have their car yet? Just wondering if I am the only one still waiting. I called today, and as of 1/2 the vehicle was in transit on Convoy Carrier.
