The 2004 Mustang GT with the 2005 interior would be the perfect Mustang in my opinion!!

J Mays and Hau Thai Tang are both very strong believers in the clean, uncluttered look. They don't like fake (ornamental) hood scoops.
In the tech session I saw on saturday, HTT said in the future, when he moves on to other projects, maybe someone will come along and tack scoops on the car.
He for one pushed hard for a spoiler delete option on the GT.
I love the clean look of the 2005, don't get me wrong, the 99-04's look good as well, but I like the clean look.
The aftermarket will have tons of hoods and scoops available

I understand the smooth lines of the new Mustang are amazing. For some reason, I am a cosmetics person, and the scoop looks sporty to me. I will have the spoiler on my '05 though......I know a lot of people dont like it though...................oh well...... ![04](https://themustangsource.com/forums/images/smilies/04.gif)

I would like hood scoops, even though I'm into functionality. I like the look of certain ones.
I'm hoping to eventually get a hood with the concept scoops for my car. Now that would look hot! B)

I also like the fact that Ford went with a clean look for the '05. It still looks like a muscle car to me.
I do like the look of my '02 GT, but I like the look of the '01 Bullitt better, because other than the hood scoop, it is void of the tacked-on looking body parts such as the rear spoiler and the cheap looking rocker panels. Too bad I was a year late for that one.

Now the shaker scoop and the concept scoop.

I once considered a cold air kit with a hood scoop as my 1st mod. I still love hood scoops, but I will think more before jumping on the purchase. I'll be getting every mod before I get that one. Could take a while.

I would like a hood scoop on the 05 as it would make it look a little more sporty, but my 2000 looks fake, as it is....It serves no purpose. Am planning on putting Charcoal hood stripes on my Satin Silver 05 GT as soon as I get it!!!! I think that will dress it up without making it look cheap.

Different strokes for different folks. The nice thing about the classic Mustang design it can be customized in so many ways and still look great. Personally I prefer the form follows function philosophy. Factory design without fake scoops nor racing stripes works for me. I like the silent but powerful appeal of the new Mustang.

I'm not a huge fan of stripes myself....kinda boy racerish. Unless its part of a shelby addition with a power increase.

I agree; not a big fan of the stripes - too juvenille looking. I guess I'm past that age.
I WOULD however, love to see the concept hood scoops on the new GT. That would look sporty, powerful...but classy - almost like it came that way...which it sort of did.
