TopBliss those look great! I really like the fact that they do not require drilling. I need to put this on the list to order within the next few weeks. Man modifying your car is addictive.

I have the NXTs in stock and can get the CDC ones as well. You can get them here: http://greatlakesclassics.com/2005-2...d%20Struts.htm

fyi= the scott drake kit has the struts mounted upside down. This is incorrect. When open they shoudl always be shaft down to keep the seal wet with oil. I used to design these gas springs first job out of college years ago.. The NXT kit has the struts installed correctly

The Scott Drake kit, as with all of them, comes in individual pieces. You snap the struts on to the brackets, and yes, with the shaft down. Their picture is wrong, not their design.

Going with the Scott Drake billet struts. Hope it will hold up my Venom hood. Also been hearing and even CDC states on their website that there could be a issue with some glass hoods bowing on the sides.

Does anyone have the hood struts that SilverHorse Racing offers for sale? I believe the brackets are stainless steel as opposed to cast aluminum. $99.00

I'd also select the hood struts from Classic Design Concepts, as Brenspeed has them for $98.99

I like these http://www.uprproducts.com/shopping/shopexd.asp?id=1090 and will be using them on my Steeda hood, as they will not cause the hood to bow. The glass hoods can't take the pressure from the struts when closing and that is why they bow. These struts lock open and unlock for closing so there isn't any excess pressure on the sides of the hood.

You'll be the first one I know to own these.

I saw them on the UPR car at FFW last year and liked the way they look.

I must be the only one, but I'm completely fine with my prop-rod.

You know Lee, I'm kind of with you on this one. On my list of mods, hood struts are a long, long way down. And the old prop rod is just fine. What I find aeird is that with the exclusion of ambient lighting upgrade, no foot well lights in these cars and no courtesy light under the hood. How long has Mustang been without these. Even my '87 Cougar had these. I know because I took a red marker and painted my dome lights and courtesy lights red. Yeah I was a stupid kid.
