Hood Alignment

I couldnt leave well enough alone and want to adjust the hood of my 06 GT. The passenger side where it meets the windshield is slightly raised above the body panel. The driver side is slightly lower. The alignment is also off- slightly bigger gap on the passenger side.

I tried adjusting the four bolts that hold the hood in place, but after tightening the hood goes right back into place.

Anyone have any info on aligning the hood?

Thanks,

Andy

Mine has been that way since I got it in June 05. Only I notice it so I haven't brought it to my dealer. The gap is slightly wider on the passenger side than on the driver's side between the hood and the front quarter panel. I'm afraid to take it to my dealer to be realigned because my dealer overfilled the oil on my first oil change and I figured if they can't do that they'll probably screw up the hood somehow if they try to align it. Isn't that great confidence in my Ford dealer. There are other cars that have the same problem according to other Mustang websites. So we are not alone.

I unscrewed the four bolts that hold the hood in place and attempted to move it. No luck. The bolts and hinge are non-adjustable. I'd have to drill out the holes which I am not doing. I guess i'll just have to live with it.
