Uh, Most of the cars you guys have listed will probably blow you off the road.
11- Subaru WRX
12- Mistubishi Lacer EVO
13- Nissan 350Z
14- Infinity Q35 Sport Coupe
-With any mods done to these, they are in the 13's.
2003 Corvette (NOT Z06)
-Are you kidding?
9- Dodge SRT-4
-Again, probably not a modded one.
- Chevy Z-28................start with a lite snack of Chevy.
5- Pontiac Firebird...........a nice filling bruch.
6- Chevy SS Comaro............May have to do some mods.
7- Pontiac Trans Am..............I believe I should be able to.
-Assuming you mean V8 versions and 01-03 model years, these are all the same...dont believe the marketting hype.
1- 2004-2005 Pontiac GTO....................gonna put that Cavalier in it's place.
-I hope the mustang GT can run with the 350hp one, because it wont run with the 400hp one in 2005.
10- Every import I can aim my sights at...............They have to learn sometime.
-This is not a good attitude to go out there with. While most are just fart cans and stickers, like any genre, some of these are actually very very fast.
I would wait till real world specs come out before making any racing plans.

As long as it's not on the street.............if I had an 05GT it would be whomever (probably ricers) wanted to run.

Nothing wrong with revving it up here or there, but the clowns who take it well past 90MPH on a regular basis on public roads are asking for trouble. [/b][/quote]
Totally agree. Street racing kills many every year. I admit sometimes a situation presents itself (ie. open road, no one around) where you want to lay it out. But if you haven't smoked them by 60-70mph, its a better race for the track than the road.

He caught up to me at the next light. I was looked over to see his expression. He slowly turned his head and had a huge grin. Light turn green, and I got a glimpse of his tail lights before he disapeared in the distance.
But at least I can (unoffically) say I beat a Porsche in my 76 Pony.

True. Just last week here in L.A., a youngster going around 100 mph on public streets crashed into a street pole while racing. The car split in half, and the driver and passenger died on the spot. Police said it was one of the worst traffic accidents they had ever seen. It seems every week I hear about a race on city streets gone awry around here.
A little "lets see what you got" from a stoplight to the speed limit is fun, but reckless situations at extreme speeds on public streets is trouble waiting to happen.
As for the hit list if a safe situation presented itself:
1) Pontiac GTO - should be pretty even.
2) Nissand 350Z/Infinity G35 coupe - the stang should take them.
Wohoo, just hit 200 posts and bullitt status after 8 months.

I definately will do some mods and then go looking for some ricers. Seems ever since Fast and the Furious, everyone around my city thinks they have the fastest Honda or Cavalier.

yeah, i dont see the point in street racing. ill play around at stop lights but i stay at or under the speed limit. ill admit to a freeway race one night. we stopped in the middle of the freeway and ran upto 70. speed limit was 65. the stang should take the 350Z/G35 with ease. the current GT can run them. GTO will be close will depend on what HP the 05 actually has, and the driver. and as for the imports, the really quick ones usually dont have all the retarded sticks and such. got mine handed to me by a CRX one night. granted he probably had 10k in the motor. turbo pushing like 15 psi. and he only got me by like a fender and half my door. i love the people who gun it a a light and then at the next light they are like man i dogged you. and i didnt even know they were there

A few cars to the list that I can think of right now:
1. Honda Civic SI
2. Honda Prelude
3. Acura Integra Type R
4. Mitsubishi 3000 VRGT
With a stock GT you would probably have a blast going up against one of these, but with a few bolt ons, they are easy kill.

Imagine your 05 GT with cold air intake, x-pipe, and catbacks. Maybe even pulleys. Nobody would be the wiser on the street and it would take care of some of those cars you "really" want to beat, on the track of course.
