Highest markup I've seen so far...

Earnhardt Ford on Rural and Baseline has a Sonic Blue GT, black leather, upgraded wheels, without IUP. MSRP $27,xxx, added some dealer options and Market Value Adjustment of $5,995!
On a completely unrelated note, it has been confirmed that I will never buy a vehicle from Earnhardt's for the rest of my life. Hmmm, or is that related?

They are doing similiar things at other dealers, where they put $1500 worth of wheels and tires on the car and charge the unknowing consumer $3999 for the "custom wheel/tire package". Then the adjusted market value of another $2-3K. It is really a shame.

I can not see why Ford does nothing to these dealers.
It gives the buying public the impression that Ford condones these kinds of actions!
To say that they do not have control over dealers is a cop out. Is'nt it their products that they are selling. Make it their problem and show the buying public that they stand behind their product.
Just my thoughts over an ugly situation!
Happy Trails!!

Al Packer Ford: $3000 market adjustment
Cocky salesman told me thier bargin price of $2000 over MSRP was the best I will ever find  Didn't waste anymore time with these clowns and would suggest others steer clear of Al Packers in Baltimore

I've heard people try and defend Earnhardts and I don't understand why. I also don't understand why the CopperState Mustang Club choses them for their events either?
It befuddles me!
But you want to know why it's "condoned"? Because they do a buttload of volume, that's why.

Dealer I bought mine from wanted 5k over sticker also. This was back in October which made it a little easier to swallow....I still got it for sticker on Oct. 22nd after I got the owner involved....all's well that ends well I guess...John

I don't want to pay over sticker myself. However, they are in business, and the last time I looked, we live in America. They can charge whatever price they can get for the car. That's why dealerships are selling FORD GTs over $100,000 above sticker price. Why, because people are willing to pay $100,000 over sticker. As well, people will pay $3000 over sticker for Mustang. It's just they way supply and demand works. In six months when demand is lower, price will come down.

It confuses me why someone would be willing to pay more than sticker. The minute they turn the key the first time that extra money is gone.
Then again, I guess you can put a price on being able to have the first one in town.

That was the thinking on my redfire Steve....Supposedly the only one around for hundreds of miles when I looked at it on Oct. 20th....Wanted it but stuck to my guns and it all worked out....Surprised it's still that bad 5 months later when they have to be more common now....somewhat anyway...

I could even see paying $1000 over MSRP, maybe even $2000 to be first... but $6000 is insane. That would have put my GT at $35,000  And as much as I love it, there's no way that would have happened.

For your info.....I went to Beach Ford in Virginia Beach and they have Roush Stage 1's (or had) that they were selling for sticker (34K). Granted it's only cosmetic mods but both looked good. One was black with the Roush 18 inch wheels and the other was yellow with the bullitts and the lovered rear quarter glass cover.
