HID headlight question

Hey guys,

I installed an HID conversion kit into my mustang about 6 months ago. They are working great, and I love how much it lights up the road.

However, I get flashed a lot from on-coming cars. Is this a common occurrence or is there something I should have done to keep from blinding other drivers?

Thanks for your help.

Are they aligned properly? I used to get flashes with my Silverstars so I think its "a nation of wussies" symptom. Funny though, not too many people flash with my HID's.

I only changed the bulbs, I didn't mess with the headlight housing. so They should be in the factory default location.

In case it matters, my HIDs are 55W 4300K. Purchased from retro-solutions.

Anytime you throw HID's in the stock housing you get scattered beams and a lot of glare. People think you have your high beams on. Only way to truly get rid of the high glare is to switch over a projector type housing. you can check it out here;

We have a ton of styles and some of the lowest prices on the internet.

^ what he said. I'd really like these if they came with a smoked lens.

I believe we can get these in smoked. Keep in mind that these are a black interior to them so you will lose visibility, the LED wont show along with the Halo. PM me or email me at Sales@hidguy.net if you want us to see if we can get these in smoked for you.

yes i used to get this problem a lot as well. i got one by electrosport.. it's good and all but most of the cars that drive passed me as well would flash me too. i asked someone about it and they said that apparently there is something you can do about the angle so it could focus more on the road rather than straight into the eyes of the oncoming passerby.
