And ebay is also getting notified from me. I still sell and buy from there too. If the picture isn't gone by morning.. the seller IS getting a phone call.

They listed it on the auction... 409-899-4000

Made a mention on a site that has a ton of Texas people on it.. curious to see how many have dealt with this dealership.

It IS a copyright violation... and it IS against eBays rule.

The amount you are bidding on is the amount over MSRP. Example: The MSRP price for this vehicle is $32635.00. If you bid $5000 then you agree to pay $37,635.00 for the vehicle. Taxes, license, title or registration fees are not included in the final bid price. Shipping of the vehicle is not included in the price of the final bid but is available
What is so sad about what I quoted above is, Taxes License, Title, Reg, & Shipping is NOT included in the final bid price. So if like they said & someone won at 5k over they would still end up paying like 40k + in the end.

Who in their right mind would pay that much for a reg gt vert. Add a few grand & you could have the saleen.

Anyway. I just found that pretty funny. JMO. Later guys.

The first time I looked at that auction I was paying attention to the picture and not the seller. That dealer is in my home town! I was in their showroom last Friday looking at a Saleen. I'm not surprised they would use someone else's photo. They're so slimy I felt like I needed to take a shower after I finished looking at the Saleen. They also own the only Mazda dealership in my town and I drove a 100 miles to the next nearest dealership to buy my Mazda6 instead of dealing with them.

well that is interesting the vin listed in the description of the car is a valid vin the car is a convertible and the build date is 02/02/05 so yes you read that right it was built on wed feb 2

if he just changes his pic it might be a legit auction just not the over msrp price

my 2 cents

I'm just waiting to hear from eBay. I contacted their emergency area.

Yea... the quotes made my head spin too haha

Atleast he kept my info on it (along with the site info) but just as Brad said.. I don't want to be associated with some dealership like this.

What would've happen if they removed The Mustang Source logo and added their own logo? How can you prove that you're one that took that pic? Its your word against his? Right?

I'm no digital photo editing expert, but I think the only way to remove the TMS logo and not have it look strange would be to crop the photo and then add the new logo on what's left. In that case, Brad or Amy would provide Ebay with the uncropped photo with TMS logo. If the seller couldn't provide an uncropped photo with their logo, Ebay would rule in favor of TMS.

I emailed asking him to remove the photo. I wouldn't mind if it were a "normal" auction, but bidding over MSRP is a ripoff, and I don't want my site associated with it.
I'm glad you did, Brad. Even though the seller left the TMS logo on the pic, I'm guessing many who look at it will assume it is of the actual car since it is obviously not a FMC advertising photo but an amateur shot (no offense to the photographer!).

I think they just did it so all of us at TMS would view the auction

It will be fun to see them have to take it down today. That will be the photo that they would least want to get rid of since the car in the auction is blue. I'm glad that someone one here found it.
