Hey Bill Ford

It shouldn't take longer to get a new vehicle than a new house...
Your web site should allow for regional searches rather than five results per zip code. I'm tired of "dancing" around my state looking for something close to what I ordered months ago (and the order hasn't even been pulled yet). NICE.
Your web site should really find what someone is looking for (regardless of where it's at) vs. something that's not even close to what they're looking for but is at the dealer closest to them (I'm not renting a movie at Blockbuster - for almost $30K I'd like to get what I want).
You should build the vehicles that have been ordered (hence SOLD) before building dealer stock. As a FORD shareholder, I love the fact this isn't happening.
Don't even get me started on the whole IUP mess up...
How about a link to check "order status" on your web site? Not that I've got anything against talking to people in Canada but I bet it would be quicker and even less expensive for Ford.
I could keep going but I'll let others add their thougths too. I look forward to seeing you at the shareholders meeting this year. I think I'll have something to say during the Q & A session.

From what I have seen people are having more dealer-related issues with getting their cars than manufacturer-related issues. (former IUP issues aside)And, if you think Ford should do something about this may I suggest writing your Congressman, because Ford and GM would both yank a lot of dealer franchises but for the courts saying it violates anti-trust laws under most circumstances.

Actual I'm complaining about the fact that I see people with orders placed in oct and nov not being pulled and orders placed in mid jan being pulled. Ive only waited 5 weeks so far, was suppose to be 6 to 8 weeks(no way), even if pulled next thursday night it will be another 4 to 6 weeks.. Any way I really think ford's order system stink's. It's not the dealer, it's ford.

Perhaps you need to WAKE UP to the realities of supply and demand. You want a car that's in HIGH DEMAND and there's only so much SUPPLY.

I don't think that'sright. The one was a 72 Z-28 and lordstown was on strike that year.
Also, ford has had enought time to see how they miss cal. the 1up issue. They could of had plenty on hand now. It's ford.
Right now their are cars rolling off that line that are for dealer stock and they match
cars that people have ordered. That isn't taking care of job 1.
I don't mind waiting my turn, but how about those people who order so long ago and still aren't pulled? Sure it's a hot car, but their should be a better system.

I don't think that's correct, my dora has my name on it . If they don't know that then like I said the system is flawed.

Yea, They get built but only if their are the commodities to make the car. My dealer
has me a code 10, but commodities keep the car from being pulled. Again they should be giving the purchased auto's first commodities regardless of what dealer or proirty code. System seems flawed. Those dealer with the low picks are taking the options for
their dealer stock. This is in the end a ford problem they made the system, they can fix it.

Another factor not mentioned yet is the rental car fleets. The fleet manager at my dealership says that Hertz (and other rental companies) have tremendous pull with Ford due to the $$$ involved and their orders are often built before dealer orders. He is the best informed dealership employee I have dealt with, so I tend to believe him. Karpro, can you confirm this??
