here you go guys
Well I'll be gosh-darned! Are those individual map lights I see nested between the sun visors in the overhead center console?!

If so, they weren't there in previous versions.

Looks like Ford is adding a few extra last-minute luxury grand touring niceties on this car.

The auto sealing windows are, I presume, another example of such touches. Anyone noticing any other little luxo features we might have missed?

All this, plus enough power to trounce most of the competition. Steve McQueen would be proud!

YAAHHHOOOO! I am pysched!

Ill wait for the superchips tuner to tune that and and also the engine. It'll maybe take a while for it to be out for the 05, but i may have a few minor mods by then which after tuning will make them work better.

Thanks for the photos. This car looks like a real production car, down to the P/N tag on the rear anti-sway bar. I would say that this is one of the cars that was just built in the pilot run of 120 cars a couple weeks ago.

I've tried to explain this 100 times before, the 16", 17" and 18" tires that Ford has selected for the 05 stang are all the SAME overall diameter!

When a larger wheel sized is used, a tire is mateched to it that has a lower sidewall, to the overall tire diameter is nearly identical. NO reprogramming will be required.

Tire Size: . . . . . Diameter
215 . . 65 . 16" . . . 27.0039
235 . . 55 . 17" . . . 27.1772
255 . . 45 . 18" . . . 27.0354

A size benefit of the system is that the speedometer and odometer should not come from a wheel sensor, not the trannie.. This means that you can change the rear end gear ratio and the speedo & odo will still read correctly.

Cool down, dude. That was exactly what I said. I said that just getting 18 inch rims won't change the gap (most people think it would). I'm very aware of the fact that you'd just get another tire size with lower sidewall aspect ratio to fit an equal overall diameter. However, I said I wondered if it was possible to get larger rims with larger tires, which would result in an overall larger diameter of the entire wheel (rim+tire). And just fyi, I have posted calculations similar to yours in the past, along with a formula to give everybody the chance to calculate it by himself.

yes they were

The only thing I'm gonna miss about my Honda is that there's a sunglass flippy holder there too.

Wheel Size Java Calc

Very cool for SEEING the difference in tire size.

Do it with all 3 tire sizes and see the difference...SO minimal.

The more I look at these pics, the more I think adding some 1" Eibach wheel spacers to the front and maybe 1.25" to the back will really help make the gap at the wheel wells appear a bit smaller. As well as making the car have a wider stance, to maybe take attention off the narrower 17x8 wheels.

And uh, V10... chill out, bro. That's what Wombert said. Anybody knows you can get larger tires with a smaller aspect ratio, making the overall diameter the same. Ya don't have to explain that to anybody even once, much less a hundred times. But you can easily get some 18's with a larger aspect ratio to make the tire a good inch or more larger in diameter. Not a bad idea at all, Wombert.

yes acadian, but then the odometer and speedometer would read wrong values that's why I wondered about the possibility of reprogramming that part of the computer, so that it knows of the different diameter.
