I have seen approx. 84,000 different pictures of the 05. The ones I have seen lately are kind of plain. I don't want a Vanilla Mustang-
Here are some rumors I heard-please verify or debunk...

I heard some of them would have hood pins
I heard they moved the fog lamps to the bumper
I heard you could no longer match your exterior to your interior(you get parchment graphite and charcoal)
Where do I get a six speed?
Do I have to get the 6cd changer to get the mp3 player?(not a big deal, Im putting an XM in her).
I want stripes, can I get them? I dont want the stupid horses down the door, I want Shelby stripes. If they offer a stripe kit, She is changing from windveil to mineral grey..


Now: Tell me all about upkeep on one of these magnificent things..
Aside from my insurance being $121 a month for this car.(Yes my driving record is spotless, but I want to "insure" her thouroughly)
What kind of upkeep can I expect out of this?
How much does it cost to replace the tires(approx). I am running $110 a tire right now for eagles on the boring car I have now.
What "Breaks" on these cars? I have a 3.4L v6 boromatic Alero now, and at 118k miles( I like driving) the bottom dropped out(water pump,alternator,intake manifold,serpentine belt,thermostat,axles and bearings)...Can I expect this again with the Mustang? And no it didn't break because I wasn't taking care of it, it just BROKE. I don't want this again.

Gas tank/Gas mileage- right now I have a ten gallon tank with about 280 miles a tank..Whats going to change on me?

No hood pins
Fogs are in the grille on GTs; fogs aren't an option on V-6s
There are four color options: grey, parchment, charcoal, and red, which is only available on Premium GTs
You'll have to wait for a special edition or Cobra to get a 6-speed
You can have the dealer put the V-6 stripes on your GT. You'll have to find a paint shop to put stripes on the hood, roof, and decklid
This is an all-new engine, so we have no idea what breaks.

Can you order aftermarket hood pins for her? I REALLY like them, and with no hood scoop...

If I order this car on the 17th, Can I get the interior color I like? I am VERY partial to the dark charcoal.


Think they will surprise us and offer the orange in place of the vomit green? Sadly, I am still told this is an 04 color only. And even though I can get a HORSE of a deal on the orange GT I have fallen in love with, I would hate to live to regret it.

Someday every question I have will be answered, so I apologize in advance for all of them..

 

Stripes can be tricky on a Mustang; I'd wait until Roush shows their Mustang and order the stripe kit from them. Theirs always look great.

I'm sure there will be aftermarket hood pins; there are for the current car.

If you order your car anytime before the bank closes for the model year, you can get any color interior you want as long as it's available with your exterior color choice.

I'm sure there will be an orange offered in this bodystyle, but not in 2005.
