Alot of the x-plan eligible companys are suppliers but the vast majority are fleet purchasers.

2% over the dealer invoice.
2% over the dealer invoice.
Not quite sure where this 2% over invoice keeps coming from but there are plenty of threads and the FAQ area that address x-plan pricing. From the majority of Mustang invoices I've looked at so far the x-plan is + or - about $50 of the "total factory invoice" including the fdaf and gas assessments.

so this would mean over invoice? like if my car at invoice was 22,588(just a number) x-plan would make it 2% more than that?

X-plan is A-plan price + 4% + $150 for Ford/Mercury or + $250 for Lincoln:

I'm not sure how they calculate A-plan. Perhaps someone else can help with that.

just wondering if my daughter works for McDonalds and my sister works for Kaiser Perm. can I get X plan
After all the talk about X-plan, only last week did I realize there are two types of X-plans.
One is the Ford Parterners X-plan where the ford employe can give out the PIN.
The second is a non-ford employee can use a PIN for themselves or a spouse.
Had a conversation with a dealer and we both stuck to our guns. Then we realized there were two different plans. But he is willing to give me the same pricing eventhough I don't qualify for the X-Plan "Friends and Family."

That is why I was confused . Why is there an A-plan, when there is an X-plan that can be given away?
But I know that Ford Partners plan is if you actually worked for Ford. That can be given to the family members and friends.
If you work for a supplier (or other qualifying company), it is simply an X-plan, not a Friends and Family X-Plan.
I called the Ford Plan (800) 348-7709. I asked if Step-Children qualify for X-plan. She said yes. I did not ask (at that time I did not know) the difference between the two plans. My step-dad called back to get a PIN a little later and she said that step-children do not qualify for that X-plan.
The dealer also faxed me a sheet from an AXZD website. It states that who's elegible for X-plan. It is basically only the worker and their spouse.
After hearing this, I did a lot of research (mostly on here), and I did find mention of this. Nothing came out and said there are two types of X-plans.
But after mentioning to the dealer that there seems to be two plans, he confirmed.

Just do the math! With the previous image of X-Plan prices and from my own Ford-Direct X-Plan prices, you'll find MSRP * x = X-plan. So x = X-Plan / MSRP
I find that "x" averages to 0.925. So just take any MSRP and multiply it by 0.925 and I'm sure you'll hit pretty dang close to the X-Plan amount.

I have a question concerning x-plan, if you can get your dealer to go invoice plus $500, is that better than x/a-plan? becuase x-plan is (from what i understand) invoice +4%+ $150.
In the FAQ in regarding the X-plan:
X plan is for family and friends of Ford employees and if a person works for a company that is a supplier in someway of Ford. There is a long list that qualifies for this.
The pricing goes this way. A plan is determined by Ford and can be found on the dealers order sheet/invoice in a box labeled A plan. This price is the same for Z and D plan as well. It is typically 4% under invoice, although it might vary a few dollars either way.
X plan is figured this way: A plan price + 4% + $150.
The advantage to using X plan instead of buying at invoice is that the dealer cannot charge dealership fees on a plan purchase, whereas they do charge it if you buy at invoice and not on a plan. Usually the dealership fees end up bringing the price up above X plan.
So does the part where it says 4% under invoice mean it is actually about $800 LESS for a V6? because later where it says why X-plan is better than just invoice with no plan it states how with everything dealers add in it come up to being over x-plan
I'm having a hard time stating what i want to know exactly...so i'll try it this way. The invoice of my car is $20519 and 4% of that price is $820.76(then add amother $150, like the FAQ says) would my total be 21489.76 or would it be $19548.24?...i hope this makes sinse.... PLEASE someone help me figure this out!!
