Help with rattle from trunk of 2005 GT

Hi all, I am having a crazy rattle that happens from the rear of the car that is driving me nuts. It doesn't have anything to do with bumps or shifting but seems to happen under acceleration. I've made 2 videos in hopes of someone having a similar problem or possibly knowing what is causing it.

I have gone so far as riding in the trunk to determine where it's coming from. It appears to be the front wall of the trunk, where the the latch is or at least in that general area but it may be from under the trunk. Everything is secure and I've even padded the light housing just to be safe.

The rattle occurs at lower rpms which makes me feel like it could be a hangar loose but I don't know, everything appears snug under the car. I made a few videos which I uploaded below...let me know if any of you have come across this and have a solution!!!

Yes I've tried that as well. I've wrapped and foamed everything I could that would be a problem and secured everything with the spare.

Anybody else that can help?

Sounds to me like the cover for the latch is loose. Or something in it. But since you rode in the trunk... which, btw, is really commendable.

I am... assuming the trunk is otherwise empty, INCLUDING the spare and it's hardware? The tire well cover? The carpet?

It also maybe could be the lower bumper cover flapping?

Just throwin' darts... not real sure. Mine *was* the cover... it's not anymore.

/'cause there's other rattles now.

I can't hear what your rattle sounds like, but I stripped out the middle bolt on the drivers side front muffler hanger and I ended up with thunking, clunking and a very loud rattling that could be heard 20 feet away from the car.

After I tapped the hole and put a bigger bolt in, that got rid of the rattling, clunking and thunking.

Hard to believe that missing bolt could cause that much noise.

How about the plastic cover that covers the trunk latch and the middle brake light. I tapped on mine it sounds a lot like your rattle.

I checked mine a bit closer and it clips in underneath that middle light. And mine was uncliped. It clips in and out very easy. It's not a very firm hold.

Unfortunately that's not it. I pulled all of that stuff out and there isn't any major pieces attached that would be the normal culprit. I think I'm gonna have to get in the trunk again with someone driving while I have every piece unlatched, and all the plastic removed to see if I can make any progress. Thanks for the replies and I'll let you guys know how I make out. One thing is for certain it isn't coming from under the car so at least I've ruled out other major areas.

I had a similar rattle that i thought first was the SHR louvers. Re-mounted them and the rattle was still there. I ended up loosening the muffler clamp, pushing the muffler a little farther in, and re-tightening it, and the rattle went away. Been good for a year now. Check both mufflers.

Thanks for the tip...I'm currently in the process of moving to a house with a garage as opposed to my apt complex with no garage (so excited about having a garage again!!) so once I'm in there this will be the first thing I check.
