Help a Kid Restore His Mustang II
Ok guys, brought this thread over to SVTPERFORMANCE.COM. Here's the link to the thread:

bpmurr, I hear what your saying but I think the current car has sentimental value that will far out weigh any other car that he could get.
As far as the limited availability of the parts for the Mustang II, unfortunately that's the nature of the car he has. But on the flip side he doesn't have to do a restoration to original condition, he could do a resto mod and make it unique. I agree that looking at some vendors who specialize in the Mustang II is prob the better route but Mustangs Unlimited has a lot of parts and may also be able to direct him in the right direction for those hard to get pieces.

I want to help this kid out. I realize that I am sort of a kid also or early adult (I am 23), but I definitely know how much this would mean to him. But, what is the best thing to do now? Some people said that Mustangs Unlimited might not have all the parts for his car. Once I know the best place I will buy him a gift certificate.
By the way - I am finally realizing my childhood dream of owning a Mustang, I just placed an order for a 2006 Tungsten Mustang GT.
Thanks,
Michael

man, i ordered a bunch of II parts to send him, as per his wish list, and they STILL havent gotten here!!
my god, when i get stuff from mustangsunlmited on ebay, its 3 days, when its mail order, it takes months!?! ARGH!!!!!!
im glad so many ppl are out to help this kid. its alot of work to find parts for a II, and im sure he will appreciate all this (as soon as the crap im sending gets here!)
i only wish i could personally see the joy on his face when parts start arriveng from all over on his doorstep.

I'll post an article on my website.
Hope he gets on Overhaulin' and Foose doesn't lose the goal they wanted with the car.

I went to your site but couldn't find anything. Any update on this kid and his car? I think the picture idea that gt5000 surfaced is great . . . .

You won't find anything on my web site right now...handling 3 sites and using free trial programs is starting to get to me.

Well, one, I'm back. for those who remember me (Formerly 05Mustangfan)
and, two. I feel for this kid. and, if nothing else, I was thinking
Why don't we all throw like..$20.00 or even just 10 and buy this kid a Ford Racing 5.0 to shove in that 2? unless his dad and him had already restored the engine

+1 I started reading this thread and didn't realize at first how old it was. I must have missed it first time around. I lost my dad when I was 15, there are almost no words to describe going through the loss of a family member that close. I hope he's doing alright.
