I'm bringing my '05 in for a first oil change and 2 TSBs tomorrow (Front Suspension Poping Noise & Transmission Grinding Noise). I would also like to have my Global Window Feature reactivated.

Is the build date anywhere on the car ? My VIN is 1ZVFT82H255172380, can I get find out my build date with the VIN. I couldn't find an answer when I searched the forum. Sorry if it was posted before.

If you look on the driver's side door frame, there is a sticker there that will give you the month/year when your car was built.

 

From what I have read in other posts, when you have your car serviced, the service invoice you get back from the dealer will have the exact date your car was built, not just the month/year that is posted on the door.

 

I had to replace the plastic rock guard that connects the front bumper to the frame, and found that the build date of my car was stamped into its plastics. So if you dont mind climbing under the front of your car yours might have it stamped there too.

Oh yeah everyone watch out for extra tall parking stops, some of those things are tall eneough to scrape on.

The date you are seeing on those plastic parts is very likely the date that part was made, not the date the car was assembled.

I called the Ford Customer Service number (800-392-3030) and asked the rep. She asked me for my VIN and the dealership I purchased the car from. She gave me the answer in about 5 minutes. I assume she ran an OASIS report.

My car was built on FRIDAY, TAX DAY! Yikes

I have the Dealer code 27050, body style T85 and dealer order #M001. The ERL says my vehicle will be built the week of Aug 8, but will the ERL ever tell me when the VIN is generated? While the dealership might tell me, I'd like to know as soon as it's generated.
